Elon is planning on making flying cars

We literally live in future thanks to his innovation
>>

The last thing we need is airborne Indians.
>>
>>107081967
We need self-driving hairpieces first.

>The last thing we need is airborne Indians.
Don't worry it's going to get worse, there is hole you can open up in these cars to take a shit so shit get's dropped on people like birds.

Sorry dude this isn't gonna make Tesla's stock price go back up.

its called an airplane retard, weve had them for nearly a century at this point.

in the future, this will literally be happening in the skies

They better take away driving rights then

its DOA. its a fucking plane
>>
remember when he said he would build a network of tunnels beneath every major city to fix traffic congestion but built only one tunnel beneath las vegas then never talked about it again?
>>
Well if an openly paid post from a trustworthy account like STOCKS TO TRADE said it…
>>
His road cars are already death traps.
And it's hilarious he thinks he can have a prototype "before year's end", he can't get one of his cock rockets into orbit, and his robot is a total fucking joke.
>>
>>107082064
>>107082189
this. flying cars are old news
>>
>>107082209

He did that to sabotage the west coast high speed rail discussion, which didn't go anywhere after his meddling, so once he got what he wanted he abandoned the whole idea.
>>
Is he just spewing out whatever the fuck he wants now? Is he going senile like Trump?
>>
>>107082046
tesla stock is at an all time high, maybe you should stop getting your news from the sisters

Elon could be tunneling his way to Mars RIGHT NOW and we would never know. As Elon is so modest and secretive over his Future Plans.

Stock price doesn't keep the lights on.
>>
>>107082298
No he's right, even the most powerful people in the world can't get trains built in the US
>>
Flying cars would be feasible (traffic wise) if they are literally locked in place in a grid, and self driven a long a path while locked in place

there will never be a time where the public are self driving where ever the fuck
>>
>>107082310
>the lights will go off soon this time for real
>>
>>107082311

That's just because Americans are dumb, not because Trains arent the actual solution.

This is just another thing the US hasn't figured out yet, along with gun control, that literally every other country in the fucking world figured out decades ago.
>>
>>107081967
>by year's end

So another 60 years minimum then?
>>
Flying cars in the form of eVTOLs already exist but rich people prefer helicopters.
>>
What's the point when lift will cost a massive amount of energy and roads will still be needed. If there are no roads then everything needs to be ATC controlled and drivers will have to be licensed pilots. If you solve that problem then there's still the issue of lift.
>>
>>107081967
>hyperloop
>mars base
>household robots
>flying cars

Is there anything this man can't build?
How can I invest all my savings in this?
>>
>>107082330
That is more or less what I'm saying, the constructed bureaucracy, domain rights, bus and truck lobby, and middle men with their hand out keeps you from building trains. Only something approaching a dictatorship could get trains built. But americans suggest trains all the time and no one argues they don't work.

While you're thinking out loud, right now I'm seeing our closest cultural ancestor has police lecturing people in their homes and arresting them for social media posts, and germany also arrests people for insults. The EU isn't accountable to european citizens. Romania annulled the results of their presidential election. I think you guys are under control, hopefully it wasn't decades ago.

ah yes, the man who promised "full self driving" almost what, like 15 years ago and still hasn't delivered? The guy who said he would have saarshit on mars by 2024, how did that work out? The guy who said saarshit would take 150 tons to orbit by 2019, how did that work out?

Then there's the tesla robots that were just controlled by jeets in VR headsets behind the scenes that they claimed were autonomous lol
Then there's the "robotaxi" scam
Or when he said Tesla would have a 1000km range by 2017, how did that work out?
Or the tesla roadster II scam where a bunch of retards "pre-ordered" if back in what, 2017 was it, and they still haven't even delivered a product
Or the tesla trucks lol, no not the cybercucks, the actual 18 wheeler trucks that are still vaporware.
Or the "boring company" that was supposed to change transportation but just ended up being a short tunnel in las vegas where jeets drive around teslas in a loop
or the "hyperloop" remember that, when he promised vacuum tube trains but it never went anywhere because the concept is unachievable and anyone with half a brain knew that before they even tried.

When will people finally wake up and realize that this guy is just one massive fraud bullshit artist just making shit up so his stock price can go up since retards believe the hype and put money into his unprofitable companies?

they are cool concept like in any SF/Cyberpunk setting, to drive on a road, then hit a button, wait a few minutes and you're in air flying like a bird, but there are like a thousand issues who need to be fixed, the ones who will fly with one will need a special license to drive and fly, safety, landing places, some kind of tower control who will watch over (you don't want retards to cause a crash in the air) etc
Also we don't have tech now or in the near future (20-30 years)

Has he finished hyperloop yet?
>>
>>107084557
There wouldn't be traffic jams because cars wouldn't be limited to a specific level of throughput on roads. It would instead be a traffic swarm, a giant shape in the sky where if you're deep enough inside, the sun is blocked out completely. People are careening around desperately searching for the edge so they can get out, but everyone is doing that so it's like crabs in a bucket.
>>

Parking spaces? Insurance? Fuel economy? You aren’t even allowed to fly tiny rc planes in cities. How the fuck do you think this is gonna go?

>>107082481
look at China's infrastructure. You can take a train to literally anywhere in the country. You are correct in that the reason they can build it, is because they are in control of corporations and not the other way around.

and neo-lib Abundance cucks will also agree with the overarching point but pose deregulation and giving corporations more government welfare with zero accountability, which is not a change at all.
>>
>>107084790
Let's not neglect the fact that this capacity came at the cost of absolute ruin in terms of financial coherence in the country. All that control amounted to fuck all in the grand scheme of things. Corpo found a way by simply never stopping to think whether they should build the next project all that mattered is that it was profitable to start another one.

>>
>>107084518
It would be completely automated, we still have things like surface powerlines and all it takes is for a human to fail to see one and they are toast

You wouldn't want to depend too much on an ATC in the event its attacked or fails. They would be like self driving cars that avoid each other with right of way, fly defensively, and assume other aircraft won't cooperate. You have to have some foolproof transponder/beacon system, preferably one that works with line of sight and no internet. Somebody has to decide what the GPS routes and fences are going to be though.

If it can't land in your driveway, it's shit.

I actually think we do have the tech. Maybe you couldn't make them battery powered. The issues are actually more about civilian life. How do stop the rotors from killing people, especially children. People may never tolerate the noise.

Good luck with that. Flying cars have been invented plenty of times. Each time has been blocked by miles and miles of red tape. Got a driver’s license? Cool, everyone does but how about a pilot’s license too? Don’t think you can land or that thing everywhere either! Doesn’t the aircraft also have to be certified by the FAA or something before it ever goes in the air? Then since it’s a car too you need to clear a million regulatory hurdles to make it roadworthy as well.

>>
>>107084790
Train autists are the worst and deserve to be shot in the back of the head. Every public transport system in the US turns into a theme park ride for the homeless and fent fiends because the cities (all Democrat ran) refuse to do anything about it and the resulting consequence is that every single person hates the idea of public transit and they are against it completely. My city actually had a hearing last year about completely eliminating all buses because almost 15% of all police calls were from passengers
>>
>>107086737
We need a dictatorship to teach you how to read
>>
>>107086840
High speed rail is not a bus fleet or a subway, the tickets are expensive and people are paying to travel long distances. Do you see homeless people, crackheads, and thugs hanging out in continental buses or airplanes?

Only sane way flying cars ever works is if they are 100% autonomous. Most drivers are already impatient dipshits on the road. There's collisions and accidents every day, multiple times a day. The last thing we need is people flying into houses and shit.

Reminder that Elon Musk has a yearly podcast segment with Joe Rogan for the past 10 years. And for the past 10 podcasts, he's been saying that the Tesla Roadster will be Coming Next Year™ with Joe never questioning him as to why it keeps getting delayed. So far, Elon has promised that the Tesla Roadster will have:
>space rocket production exterior
>rocket thrust boosters
>can hop
>can jump
>can hover
>can fly
>>

I find it troubling that Elon was regurgitating the same stories about his "Doge-successes" that he already told us in several videos. It's the same few stories, cherry-picked, probably.
I'm so fucking disappointed in how shit the mechanical design on the cybertruck is/was.
