Is there anything like this, but with an open source app/firmware? I want to get something like this for the kids, but I don't trust the closed source chinese apps and connecting it to the wifi. Is there anything like this with an ESP or RaspPi that is open source?
bruh just press the light switch lmao
>>107082783Using a wifi app is a lot cooler and faster since it's the first thing you grab when you wake up.

There must be an open source project
>>107082715Just buy your own zha/zwave dongle and hook it into home assistant you idiot.
>>107082715there are normal lamps that you can connect to a wifi switch that works with open source controls
>>107082783fr god is dead
>>107083539Kys zoomer faggot.
>>107082715ESP is not completely 'Open' Espressif has opened up large parts of source but not everything if i'm not mistakingThere's esphome that you can use to switch lights on and of. I'm using it to monitor plugs and temperature + motion detection. My lights are on zigbee. But you can buy bulbs that fully support esphomehttps://www.athom.tech/esphome
>>107083641Buy a normal lamp you dweeb.
The people who use this stuff must be who all those infomercials are for. >Arrgh! I just can't press this button!>If this is you, you need a $10 lamp that costs $200 because we made it harder to use
>>107082715No because product manufacturers need to get paid. We all know you wouldn't be happy with just an open source app, next you'd want the hardware design and firmware to be open source
>>107084353no
You can get "diy" led light strip kits that have remotes so you can easily make one yourself.

>>107082715You could have done 1 (one) search and you'd discover there is a very popular completely open source RasPi solution for this, but you didn't, so I'm not gonna spoon feed you
ITT: poorfagsSome topics don't belong in this dumpster/mental ward, OP.
>>107082715As far as I know, there are no libre rgb lights. The only thing I can recommend is Openrgb. It works by revise engendering the protocols of things like Razor gayming light. Last I checked it's supposed to work with some smart lights form Philips.https://openrgb.org/devices_0.9.html
