Let's have a thread about Microwave Ovens.
What kind of Oven does /g/ use?
What do you use your microwave oven for? Just for reheating food or do you actually cook things with it?
What power setting do you usually use? 500w? 700w? 1500w?

Has there been any meaningful advancements in this tech in the past 5 years?
What features are important to have? A lot of products advertise N number of preprogrammed cooking options, but are they actually useful or just snakeoil?

Anything else that you might want to add?

microwaves are for boomers and lazy trailer trash.

i have never owned a microwave
and i dont plan on owning one any time soon given i'd only use it for reheating pasta and cooking peas

also the only way to use a microwave is setting full power and pressing the start button enough times that the number seems about right

Is the popcorn button the greatest lie ever told in the history of home appliances?

Virtually all of them are 800w here (europoor). They barely even sell ANY which are more powerful, and if they do, the maximum is like 1000w, and they're super expensive. This is cucked.

>>107088868
They work like shit after a few years, too many useless functions you will never use, have to cancel if you got a number wrong. Dials literally just work
