If you use anything but Bazzite to test for your specific hardware its like comparing some self assembled 10 year old desktop to a ferrari.

You should compare a ferrari to another ferrari (bazzite) instead of to your chariot pulled by donkeys (your linux distro on a pc 1/10 in price of the mac mini) and then take into account this >>107090411

Videos are easy to do by the GPUs fixed function decoder/encoder.

We're in that weird period where everyone is still using non explicit API principles from DX11 and OpenGL but the hardware today really wants explicit APIs such as Vulkan but it can't get that support if IHVs aren't willing to. You see this a lot with Android phones where the Snapdragon hardware is very powerful and can support Vulkan/Metal like Apple but software isn't taking advantage of it and it's falling back to legacy OpenGL ES shit for various games and apps so you end up with downgraded graphics and lower fps than iPhones.

>t. i dont know how software works and will just reiterate what is spammed the most on /g/
bazzite preinstalls nearly nothing outside of steam in a flatpak container. Everything else is disabled by default and has to be explicitly enabled.

Even if why do you think that 1 or 10000 installed applications has any impact on performance? You do realize the applications do not autostart (and even if they would you could disable it)

>That doesn't mean it will perform better than other distro.
Bazzite has kernel patches for specific hardware uses a different kernel schedule and has many many other kernel tweaks. how could i expect mom my xorg.conf to understand anything though. keep repeating what the strongest bots on g spam.

What I read here once about Bazzite seems true. It is exclusively for the absolute normies and absolute powerusers. 90iq retards will pass on it because they think they are +120iq while only following whatever is spammed the most (typical 90iq behavior someone with +120iq would take the time and read why something is hyped from official documentation)

higher score is better. its basically a hw acceleration test between browsers. chrome does the best, firefox lags behind, custom forks may have it disabled or stripped out.

Isn't this largely dependent on your hardware?
Brave 1.84.132
Aggressive adblocking turned on(i assume that affects the results since it actually needs to parse everything separately)

Edge latest on a Ryzen 9 5900X. Seems soft compared to some of the other Ryzen numbers being thrown around here. Do we know if this tester is sensitive to display settings? Running 4x4k, might try playing with it a bit.

All extensions were disabled for the M4 test. Anyways just repeated it and got "Error". The test itself is glitchy as hell.

Ah, content blockers were off, but I still had adguard extension “active”. Anyways here’s a clean test, with recent .1 update.
