Works fine on brave

If as much energy was put into a YouTube alternative as getting around YouTube advertisements, we probably wouldn't even need YouTube anymore.
>>

uBlock Origin > Dashboard > Support > Troubleshooting Information > More > Purge All Caches
Works perfectly fine on Firefox.

so this is the power of spa websites

>thing works
>techbros insist on fucking with it until it no longer works
Why are software "engineers" like this?
>>

every good youtube alternative owned and raped itself by banning all the content people actually go to youtube for (gaming, music "videos", low effort postmodernist memes)

vimeo did it, viddler did it, dailymotion did it, even google video got pretty fart-huffing before it was killed in favor of acquiring youtube and just not fucking with what worked with it for at least a couple years

Is there a reason so many of you refuse to use mpv and require algorithmically tailored recs instead of an rss feed?

i dont use "algorithmically tailored recs" and have no need for an rss feed. i mostly look stuff up ive seen from other sources or watch videos ive been sent and then manually "follow" the channel by bookmarking it in my browser rather than using youtube's own follow mechanic
>>
>>107099309
used to have over 300 subs and deleted them all like 2 years ago. It's a waste of time to follow some burned out channels when jewgle got the recommendations pretty much nailed and might show you stuff you probably already want but can't be arsed to search.

I assure you that engineers have nothing to do with it. This is the work of project managers, designers, maybe data analysts. Engineers are given these bullshit requirements under tight deadlines and that's how you get something that's inherently unusable due to idiotic design decisions and very buggy. The engineers would've been more than happy to leave the UI as it was.

update uBlock
>>
>>107095877
It's just another blockable script. If you turn it off, refresh, turn it back on and try to play the video, it will play for a second, then the page quickly refreshes to unload the player again. Whatever does that can be specifically blocked.
Reinstall UBO, it's already fixed.
>>
>Filter Lists > Built-in > uBlock filters (click the dropdown) > uBlock filters – Quick fixes disabling it, reloading a youtube video, and enabling it again, fixed the issue for all youtube videos without requiring any permanent config changes.

Is the mpv setup RSS > yt-dlp > mpv?
I try and pop into the threads, but there's such and incredible level of shitposting I can't even understand what they're about.
