Windows was a crime against humanity
>>
tricking people into thinking you can staple an amateur UI on a router OS and call it "Linux desktop" was also a crime against humanity. imagine the trillions of hours spent on fixing and tinkering for nothing.

i spent more time getting w10 to work properly than i spent on configuring all the iterations of my linux box
i use linux since 8 years.
i used w10 for ~6 months

Imagine a trillion dollar company just barely competing with a router os with an amateur UI stapled on it

you spent more time installing a bunch of drivers in Windows than learning to program and submitting PRs for bugs in KDE ? hard to believe, but maybe you are just retarded.

Windows was inevitable. The real crime is people not being willing to let go and build something better.

I dont need tech help, I've reinstalled Windows more times than I'd like to admit. I know all about the sleep study, and updating drivers. I unfortunately have spent entirely too much time on Google tweaking Windows into oblivion trying to manage all these nagging little issues.

So why does it suck? Why can't we get a version of Windows that behaves like a Mac? This is a serious question. I just want to buy a high-end laptop, open it, and enjoy it, that's it. I don't want to mess around with the settings, reinstall Windows, spend countless hours trying to figure out why my fully charged laptop that I closed the lid on at night, is dead in the morning.

Or have to turn off all the great features like high refresh rate, and high-performance mode just so i can get more than 5 hours of battery life out of it.

People at Microsoft have to know this right? Do they not use Macs to see just how far behind they are?

That's it, needed to vent after spending yet another few hours re-installing Windows.....

because legacy.
because ad revenue.
because memorandum of understanding between parties where M$ won't try and compete (too hard) with "third parties" and their inferior botnet services and software.

Windows never stood a chance. fagOS is next. Apple's revenues already show other than iphone sales, ad shit and payment processing is their next biggest pigeon squeeze.
