Vista in particular was robbed of its spotlight because M$ overestimated the capability of consumer PCs at the time, that's why it ran like shit for most people. 8 had all of its issues fixed with 8.1, the most notable one being stability. I've talked to plenty of people before who've said 8.1 is the most stable version of Windows they've used.As for 95 there's not much to talk about. It was succeeded by 98 (not SE) which introduced a LOT but it was also notoriously unstable.
