What went wrong?
>>

they sold out to bloatware niggers and i had to spend an hour removing it all from my new one. android one is dead too i guess. also being bought by the chinks. update policy still sucks.

that being said if you need a budget phone they're vastly superior to shitsungs in the same price bracket
>>
>>107113310
luv my motorola simple as, less bloated out of the box than the other shits.

they've made a good recovery, their budget phones are very viable and for those into the flip phone meme their razr has a good hinge and outside build
>>

I'm on a Moto 5G 2024 right now and other than the screen being about as durable as an eggshell it is a good budget phone.
>>

Fucking ATROCIOUS software support. Not only are updates delivered at a glacial pace, but they're full of bugs when they arrive. My Edge 40 just randomly turns its screen on constantly throughout the day since updating to Android 15 (finally, a month ago). Not when a notification arrives or anything, even though I have that turned off too, but just whenever it feels like it. I have to keep it face down on my desk now because it's driving me nuts. Never buying Motorola again. The hardware is nice for the price, but they no longer care once they have your money.

did people really think this was the shit at one point?

Modern rap would not exist without Yung Lean.

I'm a poorfag and I'm planning to buy a moto g56, is it a good choice? None of the other shit at this price range impressed me but then again I buy a phone every 10 years and I never keep up with the trends.

chinkola cant do anything right
google acquisition was also a mistake
>>
>tfw still on an old 2016 G4
Gotta admit I'm in awe at this things durability, specially considering the thousands of hours I used it for Waze under the scorching summer sun with a bloated battery at probably constant %100 cpu usage.
>>
>>107115445
go for it, just pick a good battery and check for the display type.

Will do, thank you anon.
For the record, it has a 5200 mAh battery and an IPS 120 Hz screen
>>
>>107115598
id advice to look for an amoled, my father brought a new moto these days and it was an IPS 120hz too. i thought the quality of the image was pretty low compared to mine (an old moto, amoled 90Hz)
>>
>>107113404
still?
I and other people were having wifi disconnects on the G5S, it was acked by Lenovo but they never delivered a fix.

I always get a Motorola phone because they're cheap, and I can't live without chop to activate the flashlight function. Thanks for asking.

This is the only reason to get a Motorola

fuck it, i want to stay on 13 forever, wish i could go back to 12.

Hilarious update policy. They release some new phones on current ver - 1 so you can be 2 versions behind 3/4th to 100% of the year
But nothing notable has ever been added to Android past Material You so whatever
>>
>>107113310
they got chinked
>>
>>107113310
Didn't they get the double fucked with the iphone, then the recession and floundered around ever since?
>>
>>107113310
Moto G 3rd Gen was the first and best smartphone I ever had. X Play too.
>>
>>107113324
Guess what, it comes back and they start randomizing the app names on you so that they always get enabled again. Enjoy. I'm never buying one again.
>>
>>107113310
The stock Motorola OS is shit, you'd be lucky to get more than one major update.
But the hardware is good value and they're durable. Very cheap and still comes with features like headphone jack and microSD card slot.
If you get one that supports LineageOS and install that then it's excellent. For the past 10 years I have been using Motorola phones running CyanogenMod/LineageOS.

Shitty build quality (the chips not the housing)
Stay away from HP, MSI, Asrock, ASUS, Motorola, Acer.

That's my personal blacklist

ASRock's been my go to for motherboards, what's the issue with them?

Shitty build quality and planed obsolescence compared to gigabyte or (and that's my goto) dell or super micro system boards.
These system board will outlive the humanity itself if not soaked in water or used to penetrate anal cavities.

I used my dad's old moto g7 power for years and for the past years his old moto g 5g. Installed LineageOS on it and it's been a mostly excellent experience.
Some small bugs here and there but nothing major, such as the camera app crashing and bluetooth audio dropping out now and then for half a second in the car (suspect it's caused by other bluetooth devices coming in range).

The only thing that was unforgivably retarded on this g g5 is the moto assist button which is hardwired to launch google assistant and can't normally be assigned to anything else. I wanted it to launch the Home Assistant voice assistant and had to use a button remapper app that required the highest privileges, which feels kinda sketchy.
