>threaten to block online shop over products sold by third-party sellers
>shop not only takes the products offline but nukes the entire category
>block the site anyways
Shouldn't have tried to compete with established multinationals. What do they think this is, a free market?
>>
isn't japan the only place that kind of stuff can be sold?

Most obvious false flag ever.
The French gov is terrified of China's dominance.

>Fast fashion, characterized by a constant turnover of collections and very low prices, has flooded European markets with low-quality items, driving environmental, social, and economic costs. The United Nations has warned that the textile industry alone is responsible for nearly 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions and contributes to water depletion.
>
>France is now moving to curb the growing influence of companies based in Southeast Asian countries such as Shein, Temu, or AliExpress. A draft law targets fast fashion with measures such as consumer awareness campaigns, advertising bans, taxes on small imported parcels, and stricter waste management rules. The Senate adopted the proposal earlier this year, and the government has notified the European Commission ahead of a joint committee meeting to finalize the text.
Got to love how they imply fast fashion was something recently invented by the evil Chinese, rather than something invented by Europeans that has dominated the fashion industry for decades. But it's okay when we do it, because we're exploiting children in Bangladesh rather than in our own countries.

Buying cheap chinkshit from china is immoral and hurts the planet. Instead you should buy the exact same cheap chinkshit with a 30% to 50% makup from your local multinational company. Think of the billionaires!

>30% to 50% makup
Missing one or two zeros there.
I bought half a dozen USB to M.2 enclosures for 6$ each then saw the exact same ones at a local retailer for the local currency equivalent of over 93$.
How do I know they're the same ones? They did remove the original manufacturers spray coated logo on the outside but not on the inside of the enclosure before repackaging them.

Post the feminists in France protesting nude in the streets because Shein sold something they didn't like (dolls) on their website.

>>107116568
THIS!!!

France needs to buy $2000 LVHM t-shirts instead of the same t-shirt from Shein for $20. Also, you need to buy the exact same thing from Jeff Bezos's Amazon. Do you hate capitalism or something? Think of the small businesses!
>>
Does this mean France is finally extraditing Roman Polanski?
>>
>>107115811
I think now it's obvious that it was a false flag/nothingburger cooked up to remove Chinese competition. The anti-pedo/feminist screeching was just a cover story.

holy cute

Fast fashion existed before
But design rotation is way higher on Shein, Ali and Temu (+ Amazon Haul in the future?) so lawmakers separate them into an "Ultra fast fashion" tier, at least in Baguetteland
They're currently working on regulations designed to hit all of those but focused on the latter
>>107116967
>>107115833
Not a false flag, Shein and Ali willingly accepted the dolls on their site and didn't care enough to disable the listings for France. It's just a case of people someone not talking to their journo friends until the news could be used as a weapon.
