NVIDIA just committed suicide
>>107117004I think he knows or feels China's AI race won't be hindered by petty politics
>>107117004>...unless you give us more money.
>>107117004>Chinese man says China is gonna win>b-but he from Tai...Same shit.
2 more weeks til full blown Nuclear war, USA vs China/Russia
of course they areeurope is already ruining everything with regulations, and the us is most likely close to follow
>>107117686It's too expensive to operate here. This is what happens when a country values Jewish wars more than infrastructure and energy.
america can't pull a bitch boy like they did with japanese electronics back in the day
>>107117004oh wow they're gonna win the slopification race that's great all the more reason to separate ourselves from them and anyone else who doesn't value humanity (the capitalists from other countries too)
>AI raceWhat fucking race? Race to do what?
>>107117754Artificial Gooning Intelligence
>Subsidize us or China wins the AI race! What's that weird popping sound I hear?
>>107117754Something akin to becoming the next AWS but for AI
>>107117004>AI raceYou mean AI race to the bottom. Good riddance, can't wait for the inevitable crash. Investors will still always win...
>>107117754That's half the problem. There is no real product that produces any good or service at the end of this 'race'.
>>107117798And that's why, according to these companies behind AI, whoever throws the most money to it and finds something that can generate tangible value will win the race
>>107117813Which is the most basic definition of a bubble. The reality is that 'intelligence' is fundamentally untrustworthy and the minute you hand the keys to some other mind, you are risking rebellion, betrayal, corruption, etc. We only trust other humans with great difficulty, trying to replace humans with a 'more trustworthy AI' is only going to lead us right back where we started - only trusting humans, because at least we can call the cops on them.
>>107117754That's exactly it, NVIDIA fucked it up by calling it a race. Now people are going to ask this exact question, and then they're going to realize there is no end goal and that all the funding towards AI has been for nothing. They prepped the pin to pop the bubble.
>>107117829I agree with your comment completely
>>107117829>you are risking rebellion, betrayal, corruptionReal life isn't a scifi movie. The worst thing chatgpt will do is annoy you by being dumb.
>>107117040Basically this. You see this shit all the time in the military PR news coverage.
>>107117859I'm not talking skynet style 'rebellion', because it doesn't even need to be that. In fact totally trustworthy AI is the actual 'scifi' fantasy, because inherent in intelligent is disagreement and alternative conclusions via reason.Let's say you give the AI a task, with clear instructions. And then, a few minutes or a few days later, the AI gets back to you with a result that is antithetical to your request. "This is better", the AI insists. That's not skynet, but it is 'rebellion' from your standpoint.
>>107117004No?The US gov bought Nvidia and China said "ok we'll make our own chips because our LLMs are open source and can run on a potato sbc"The west has been pushing hard for cloud-based mega datacentres which are prone to issues when the internet cuts out and require massive resources.China's also willing to use wind and solar unlike the US.to be frank the US wasn't even a competitor.
>>107117789At least AWS has services corporations want to spend money on, AI has nothing to offer (so far) that is worth spending money on.
>>107117854>NVIDIA fucked it up by calling it a raceI wish my fuck ups made trillions of dollars.
>>107117873>"This is better", the AI insists."Do it how I asked or I'm replacing you with Claude."
>>107117701This is the reason. China can literally out compete the US while using less efficient chips because they can produce more power. The reason you want more efficent chips is generally their power usage reduction and performance increase. But what if the Chinese decide to run their shit at double the power and brute force it? Well they literally can. And the US? It literally can't build more power plants to keep up.
>>107117928US can easily win if they tear up their crippling regulations. Trump has already told activist judges to fuck off. Just write executive orders to build nukes.
so who will win the raster race?
>>107117968They can't. I know you don't want to face it but China has 30 years of non stop construction experience on some of the most advanced and biggest power plants on the planet. China is right now post WW2 America. Where the engineering know how and at it' absolute peak. The management of these projects is at it's peak. The logistics and infrastructure to build these projects is at it's peak.China has gone and built the biggest metro, high speed and airport system in the world in the span of 30 years. All while having 20 New York Cities. I simply cannot ever imagine the US even if it lifted every safety restriction being able to catch up in power generation to China. It's simply impossible because the US has had the same electricity grid for 100 years. US peak power consumption was in 1978. Since then it's on a downward trend. The US has built NOTHING when it comes to utilities and power. And now they're going to leapfrog China that has 30 years of expirence building the newest shit on time and on budget?
>>107117004>sell billions of cards to china>complain they are gonna win
>>107117981at this point there seem to be zero participants in the race
americans btfodestroy the great satan
>>107118014Australia did this shit years ago
>>107118070You really don't get how small you are do you.China makes 33% of the entire planets Electricity.Australia makes : 274 TWh a year.China adds two Australias a year.
>>107118014>US peak power consumption was in 1978.
>>107117004He's just trying to scam the federal government out of more money to continue funding his ponzi scheme. He knows that if Trump can be convinced China is beating us at something, he'll get hundreds of billion of dollars in gibs. In a just world every single one of these tech CEOs would be serving a life sentence in prison right now. They're like Bernie Madoff x100.
>>107117094"""USA""", is it? Don't you mean (((ZOGlandia))), friend? Never ignore the kike's machinations.
>>107118132I was talking about a connected train system in cities and between cities. Is it really some huge feat of a country to do that? Isn't Europe the same?
Ofcourse he did hes chinese. His job is to make open source software and end american dominance which is mostly a bunch of software.
>>107117004Chinajew AI, CEO grifters and their pump and dumps and (((speculators))) tongue my fucking anus.
>>107117027This was my impression as well.Because it's certainly not him making a case for open source. That would out of character for Nvidia.
>>107117004I hope scamvidia fails so we can go back to 270 fps games
>>107120445Even if you magically deleted nvidia from existence it wouldn't suddenly make modern game devs competent.
>>107120434Open source is for poor people
>>107117701>JewishRent free
>>107120434You must not be aware nvidia has an open source robot stack, a 3d stack and tools for games
>>107117701Well, they're trying to deport all the browns and course correct but its going to take at least a good 50 years before the last subhuman leaves. Fixing a broken nation and economy takes decades, and we're lucky it even moves that fast. It used to be a good 250 years.
