The standard that lasts forever.
not for long, all your electronics connections will be usb-c and you will buy a new one every year due to the port breaking
>>107118209If you're turbo-poor and only have a few dozen 720p YIFY rips and youtube-to-128kbps-mp3 music collection then sure but a big boy 40GB blu-ray mux would take forever on SATA. Now multiply that by say 20 and you'll be dead before you back that up.
SATA could die but I wouldn't be surprised is someone reuses the cable-connector for pci-E
haven't used sata in nearly five years
>>107118209basedonly zoomers and jeets want usb c
It's crazy how fast nvmes are, my nvme loads to ram and boots a 24gb image in like a second compared to my sata hdd which takes a few minutes lolStill daily drive and love me sata drives but I should probably use nvme more
>>107118253you cant, you need at least 3 differential pairs:>reference clock + & ->data transmit + & ->data receive + & -while SATA only has 2:>data transmit + & ->data receive + & -
>>107118323>compared to my sata *hdd*yeah no shit, now compare with a sata ssd and the difference isn't that big.
>>107118233Oh no it took 1/10 of the movie's runtime to transfer, the horror
>>107118511Fugg.
>>107118290Same but 8 years.SATA was always a shit standard.
