>>107122700im dumb and don't do calls/puts so I just hodl when it goes back up. usually works. I should really get rid of HOOD soon though but I've been waiting for it to go back to $150 before I take it out.
>>107122687>5 TRILLION mcap nvda>Still no products except image generation and the ai overview on google which increases user experience by 10% (for boomers)Lol, lmao
Anyone knows if it's doable to go from a web dev (fullstack java shit) to an IA developer professionally? I'm working for a TV channel and I'm heavily interested in computed vision. But I checked the jobs online, they always ask for specific big data/IA experience.I'm only planning in reading pic related and making my own project and come with that to interviews. Playable you think?
Any real gamers still out there ready to pop this stupid AI bubble?
my boss gets a dollar while i get a dime, thats why i goon on company time
>>107122774is it wrong if hentai is like 40x better than real life.real life porn kinda sucks now especially since i associate it to grifters now.

>>107122809i mean patreongrifters are also a thing but i just find the situation more hotter. idk there seems to be less "roleplay" stuff in real life stuff but hentai takes it 100% serious sometimes which is kinda hot. real life always has that twinge of irony or it's just the raw movements without much emotions. even their tiktok "safehorny" baits are hotter than their actual videos.
Is it normal to feel a little jealous of your coworkers at work? Feels like I'm left with shit projects and my coworker overperforms on his project when he's in a situation to have a greater handle on it and I'm just like wtf. I'm trying to get my brain to stop thinking this so I can just resort to quiet quitting but part of my brain is also like THIS IS BULLSHIT I CAN DO BETTER JUST GIVE ME SOME ACTUAL WORK THATS FEASIBLE FUCK

>>107122907welcome to corporate software engineering anon
>>107122881My boss doesn't even really care for performance metrics. I'm probably going to get a 2 or 3. It feels demoralizing since how is it my fucking fault I haven't achieved anything this year when upper management and stakeholders keeps fucking holding the fort. PM isn't moving the project because there's always something new and it's "our" fault that it's not moving because we said "oh we won't be able to implement this because of x". "oh okay". "ask the same question next week" "still no." "oh okay". "ask the same question next week" "still no but you can try checking if y has a solution for this" "ask the same question next week." Otherwise my work is chill so I should just layback and take the 2/5 or 3/5 but at the same time I'm looking at my "star coworker" and I'm just like this is fucking bullshit bro.
I am a corporate bugman for a soulless Fortune 500 flyover company.

Vibe coder here. My job is like BA/PM/Dev but I've been taking programming courses but I'm sorta like...what's the point. I can get Claude to give me a rough draft and then just QA later if the results are wrong. I'm never going to be doing anything like actual coding and I'm stuck in fucking SaaS and third party tool land.
>>107124219Whatever you want to believe, man

Middle manager, four years inI've gone into quiet quitting mode and I only do around 2 hours of real work daily, yet still triggered into rage by illogical comments and decisions from colleagues and bosses. How can I control my rage?I wish I could quiet quit harder but I fear it might get me fired if I stop giving even less of a shit
So, do you actually put “AI use” on a résumé or not?Like, is it something HR wants to see because of the hype, or should you leave it out since a real developer might see it and not want the team to spend their with fixing AI hallucinations?
>>107124595any examples of a boo boo a colleague (inferior) made that send you into an outburst of impotent rage?
>>107124627Don't put AI use but imply you can arrange AI toolchains. Like imply you know the secret AI that works betterManagement boomers are still nutso about AI. I was instructed to learn about "model context protocols". I didn't do it yet as far as I can tell they came up with this to imply that AI calls will be as foundational to computing as HTTP/FTP/SCP
>>107124637When they start yapping about their past experiences and shit thinking it is in any way relevant to our work:"I come from the food industry and I think we could apply some standards we have for food safety and quality there that we have based on "ISO 2834569-whatever". Coding is basically the same and I think this valuable experience could enhance our experience and productivity"
>open firewall request ticket through client's service support system>there is a "best contact" field>put my preferred email>everywhere it asks for an email i put my preferred email>submit ticket>nobody takes it for a week>someone finally takes the ticket>"sarr i asked for additional info in email">check my email>nothing is there>i assume they sent it to my address in their system (me@client.com instead of me@MyCompany.com)>add comment that i didnt receive it, it should be sent to the 'preferred email' i identified 5+ other times in the ticket>send comment>get a notification that the technician will not be able to view my commentwhat bullshit is this

I went to bed at 6:30 am last night. My nightmare project that I’ve been working on all year finally works. It’s full of assumptions and limitations, but it works in the best way I could given the jungle on top of which it is built. Maybe I won’t get fired after all. I could cry, if I had any tears left. Fuck my worthless manager. I’ve learned from this experience that I’m the manager now. Sad state of affairs but I see how it is now.
Well, after finishing a shitty project really quickly, I was rewarded with another shitty project. I've been sandbagging the entire thing while trapping everyone involved in a web of confusing information spread across every communication platform we use. I'm confident that by the end of the month, the progress will be next to zero.

everyone who uses ai always say they verify the solutions it gives them with documentation but then they never actually do
serious question: do jeets message you "hi" and "good morning" and then never respond back as some sort of humilation/display of dominance? literally only jeets do this
>>107125762it's just the way the start conversations, brazilians used to do that too
>>107125777i wouldn't care if they just say what they want after saying hi, but they just say hi and then never respond. there is no conversation to be had
>>107125794sorry, I misread your post, yeah that's just a dick movedon't overthink it
>>107125762I am convinced it's about dominance. They want you to actively consent to being subjected to their nonsense. I am also 100% convinced that this is all a hilarious joke to them, they can actually speak English and understand computers and only pretend not to to fuck with me
>>107125762I can't stand it. They'll have some problem (like not knowing how to do their job) and they'll just send "good morning" and then leave it hanging for two hours until you finally respond, and only THEN will they get to the point. If you ignore them they just spam "good morning", they can't ever just say whatever the thing is today.
>>107125762yesit got to the point where i just stopped responding until they follow up with whatever it is that they wantthe ghosting stopped after that

I graduate next year and I have been writing code and committing to github on some stuff for like 2 years now. Does literally any of that shit matter at all or am I just fucked?I'm a little older than the average newgrad and I'm pretty sure I'm more competent too how can I leverage this into not getting ghosted by everyone
I don't really respond to jeets anymore because one time I helped them out only for them to fucking mass email chain our API Key and Pass to a bunch of people in our company. No I DID NOT email them the API Key and Pass.
>>107126106average new grad just has his education and a list of random languages/stacks on his resume, which is destined for the trash binputting tangible impacts from your real work in the spotlight beats that at leastbut you'll still get grinded though because online job listings are fake/going to india. consider tricks like calling HR and telling them you were told to schedule an interview, or other underhanded/aggressive tactics, unfortunately that's what's required atm
>>107126285I dont think any of the code I have on github has "tangible impacts" in the business sense even if it demonstrates skills

Fuck boomers. My boomer coworker is such a little bitchy faggot I hope he breaks his hip. I’m out here doing so much heavy lifting for this god forsaken team and this old cunt goes out of his way to be a retard. I can’t wait to burn these fuckers by moving to another company, these guys should be forced into retirement or at least the backseat and be made to shut the fuck up. Old people are the worst if they don’t grow up and accept their fate, worse than any manchild out there.
