I like to stream a smooth jazz station (located several states away) on my phone with Transistor, but I can't find a Windows equivalent for it. All of the options are either malware with ads built-in or bloated beyond the scope of an internet radio streaming program. Never seen one mentioned on here so I'm just asking.
>>107123525Your phone has a built-in radio receiver. Your PC doesn't.
>>107123539It's an Internet radio streaming service... basically just an organizer where I can listen to all the stations (being streamed over the Internet) I like in one app. My phone actually does have an FM tuner but that Transistor app isn't using it.
Switch to Linux and use shortwave or try installing it in WSL

>>107123539I think they dropped that law.Afaik, it was only for europe, and for emergency alerts, they maintained AM and FM radio reception in cell phones using headphone jacks and wires in the headphones.Since then, no wired headphones, and some countries dropped AM and are working on dropping FM.A few phones in the US still had the radio app, most deleted it for US sales. Why give so something away away for free when you can collude with cell data providers to burn your bandwidth and battery with spyware apps to force you to watch advertisements?
