Is AI determined to destroy everything in its path? Everyone complained about the crypto bubble but the AI bubble has been 10x worse for GPUs, memory, electricity prices, the job market, economic stability, basically everything in the world.
Which ethnicity or religion can we blame for this?
>>107123620>$100 for some RAM is a MASSIVE problem to me!!!Have you tried not being poor?
>>107123645americans, american jews, chinese and taiwanese
>>107123868>>$100 for some RAMAliexpress prices went from $100 per 64G*2 modules to 150 per 64G*1 module. Tripled in half a year, in other words.
>>107123620But why? Isn't AI mostly Vram? What changed that AIfags are scaling up with the RAM?
Wait, weren't the prices increasing because of the tariffs? Or was it still covid? I can't remember
>>107124110Why would you ever buy Chinese ram? Taiwanese ram is already unstable enough as it is running at its labeled spec with more than 2 ram sticks. Chink ram is just going to be completely fake specs with the worst binned chips they could possibly sell you.
Isn't technology supposed to get more affordable over time? Why are we going backwards?
>>107124302jews figured out how to make more money with this one simple trick
>>107124302Because "they" realized they can sell you the same thing for more
>>107124302No competition due to government interference in the market
>be me>bought 16gb in 2016>still dont need more>prices risinglmao
>>107124265>Taiwanese ram is already unstable enough as it is running at its labeled specYou already answered your own question. If you care about a remotely stable PC, you aren't running XMP/Expo. In which case it really doesn't matter what RAM vendor you use because they aren't binning JEDEC spec modules.Buying memory thay is already rated for a certain speed from the DRAM vendor and putting it on a PCB isn't a hard task.
>>107124302I sometimes wonder if making computer hardware is the worst kind of work imaginable because this shit has had permanently increasing demand for decades and nobody fucking enters the market and starts building new factories.
>>107124265>Why would you ever buy Chinese ram? They're used Micron/Samsung/Hynix LRDIMM DDR4 modules, and I bought them for my server.
Good thing I just did an upgrade 2 years ago.Now to make sure my motherboard doesnt die because if it does, I'll need to upgrade it considering it only takes up to DDR4 RAM sticks. Still windows 11 compliant btw
Man I really lucked out getting a Microcenter 7800X3D bundle with a bunch of RAM huh? Lucklets BTFO.
I still need to upgrade so I'm gonna get rinsed when I go to get RAM. Fortunately even if it quadruled in price it would amount to maybe saving up one more paycheck for the build. One of the few times it feels good to not have a wife or children too.
>>107123620Thank god I bought a 64gb kit a year ago
They're never coming back down, are they?
>>107123620>trump buys nvidia>china literally announces a month ago "kk we gotta make our own ai chips now so we are no longer exporting rare earth to other countries that make chips nor our own chips nearly as much because its all hands on deck">burgoids: "iS iT Ai DaTa CeNtReS???"you fuckers are so retarded it hurts
>>107124052Jeets (Gemini), Chinese (Deepseek) and Jews (Open AI/Grok/Etc). The usual suspects.
