Are IOS and Apple really only big in the US? It seems like here people absolutely worship Apple and you're considered a huge weirdo if you don't have at least 30 Apple devices.
It's also huge in Japan. Japan and the US are basically the only two countries to not just use Whatsapp for everything.
>>107124404>it seems like hereno. it's just one spamming street shitting retard that has been spamming the board for an entire decade with the same 3 or so pictures.
>>107124432Besides the spammer, I've noticed that basically every single normie has an Apple phone and thinks it's weird if you don't.
>>107124404China, Japan and UKand all the tax-dodging havens, of course
>>107124404It was a matter of timing and pricing. The iPhone came out in June 2007 with massive hype; Android came out in October 2008 (and frankly it was kinda shit until version 4 in 2011). This gap let Apple capture the US market quickly and get people hooked on their "ecosystem". Other places didn't jump in so quickly: the third world still saw smartphones as an expensive luxury, and Europe loved Symbian until it imploded. When they finally started looking into it, Android was available from multiple manufacturers and fit multiple budget ranges, which made it a better option.>>107124415Japan is a special case: they stuck to their "garakei" thing until they couldn't ignore smartphones any longer. But then Samsung, the top Android player, could not make a dent there due to anti-Korean sentiment. So it was free game for Apple basically.
