The CFO of OpenAI says people aren't exuberant enough about AI .Please, help Sam Altman, buy a ChatGPT subscription.
>>107124664The average person is in fact self aware enough to ask the question "what does this mean for me".If your job is mostly parsing data, guess what? You're fucked.
>>107124664>>107124668Nope, fuck that, I ain't giving him no darn exuberance, I shall remain merely phlegmatic with regards to machine learning.
I cannot believe how quickly we reached the Government bailout stage
Alright as long as OpenAI gives up 650% in equity to the US taxpayer
>>107124751Lmao it's so transparent how "China" is codework for "free gibs pls" in politics.
>>107124751>picJensen should worry more about the fact that the public sentiment that the bubble is about to pop is already HOURS AHEAD of the spin-doctors hired by Altman and co.
There's actually a huge cultural problem in the west where we've stopped respecting tech and stopped respecting intelligence. Instead we actually respect lack of intelligence more.So no one actually gives a shit even if we do manage to make a robot who is better than a human in all ways. People will just be like: "ok". *goes back to playing rap music*
>>107124664>>107124751Genuine question: How does this AI shit help America or China gain any advantage whatsoever? It's nothing but environment-raping datacentres used my retards to ask the most inane questions.
>>107125125>environment-rapinghow long you gonna peddle misinformation? golf courses use more water.
Scam Altman wants to blackmail all of us that his Open AI is "too big to fail" and we should bail it out. I say burn it the fuck down
>>107125177This. 2008/09 showed the world what happens if you the burden of failed systems onto taxpayer's shoulders. Fuck ClosedAI.
>>107125152they're building more coal plants to feed the datacenters idiot
>>107125177>Scam Altman wants to blackmail all of usNice economy you got there. Would be a shame if anything bad were to happen to it.
>>107124664You did pay your duties for The GPTea Act, right Ameribros?
>>107125474Actually, it's mostly gas power plants for AI shit. It's still "bad" but better than coal>>107125125One of the few posts here made by someone with a functioning brain. Well somewhat functioning.Truly, what does the US gain from having their LLMs outperforming the Chinese ones by a bit? LLMs aren't intelligent, so they really can only do menial tasks and for anything critical they require extense human oversight. I don't really see how those tasks are revolutionized by slight improvement in the token prediction...If it was AGI, then yes, that would be a big deal. But the LLMs we know have absolutely no chance to become an AGI, so what's the fucking point?
>>107125695
>>107124668I'll translate>people aren't shoveling buckets of money into AI like we expected, so we need assurance that we won't go under when investor money runs out
