now that nvidia has an open driver, it can be said that these two are the biggest obstacles to the linux desktop
KDE is fine for end users, it's the fucking foot that refuses to add something without 3 years of discussion planning out how exactly they're going to do it
FUCK ME IN MY FAT FUCKING ASS

I don't know if I'd call NVIDIA drivers open. Sure, they made the kernel driver open but the userspace driver still remains closed. Unless you mean the newer Nova driver or Nouveau (which nobody uses anyway).
>>107130274>consistencyWhy do people always say GNOME is consistent? It's the absolute opposite. It is currently a complete mess of GTK3, GTK4 & GTK4/LibAdwaita applications. Also, some programs will be completely misstyled to the point of being barely functional (e.g. mpv which doesn't even get a titlebar in GNOME Wayland). Or try installing some Qt programs & see how consistent they look with the rest of your desktop. I am not trying to shill KDE either but at least they try to make everything fit together. Ubuntu's version of GNOME is the only usable one, as it takes care of the most blatant issues & omissions
