Why do people bother paying for a VPN in crypto when your ISP (who has all your info) can already detect VPN traffic on your account?
my guess is to keep personal info private from the VPN provider
>>107132331Why would someone care if a no-logs VPN provider knows their payment method though? Unless it's a glowie friendly VPN that gets shilled on YouTube.
>>107132218You don't want your payment processor to know about it.
>>107132346Why does every use case have to adapt to your completely misconstrued understanding of how things work? How could them offering the option for anonymous payments possibly bother you in any capacity?
>>107132346Stop being dense. You know damn well by personal info he means your name, address, credit card number, and other shit, not whether you use visa or mastercard. Plus even if they are actually a no logs VPN (which some claim they are but still are magically able to produce logs when subpoenaed), they can still be compelled to hand over any and all info on you which would at least tell them that yes you are a customer of that VPN.
>>107132218>please use the goy payment system so international banking jews can send more profile info about you to mossad data merchants goy!
>>1071322181. Mullvad is the only way besides Cash to pay anonymously2. You get a 10% discount for paying with crypto on Mullvad
>>107132384They got raided a few years back and the feds got nothing. Buying a VPN also isn't illegal so that's also worthless information.
>>107132218The ISP can see that you're using a VPN but can't see what you're using it for.Paying in cash is only in case the VPN gets raided by a 3-letter agency who grab all the logs: all they have will be an account number in an envelope of cash, nothing else like credit card information or crypto addresses that can link back to you as a person.
>crypto memei sent them an envelope of cash
>>107132751hello,enclosed is $2.45 in small change. pls re-enable my VPN-anon
>>107132751Its pretty nice with crypto.I bought $50 worth of xmr a year ago, and I've been buying two months of mullvad time ever since without ever dipping below my initial $50 investment lol.I hate crypto, but its shockingly useful for shit like this.
>>107132751did you wear gloves when handling the cash? your fingerprints and dna are on it. thats worse than xmr
>>107132650the jewish controlled news said that>They got raided a few years back and the feds got nothing.
>>107132218To bypass censorship and create a more free internet.
>>107132863if the jews have enough control to do that then there is no way to get privacy anyway because they'll definitely have spyware everywhere including architecture level
>>107132384No logs is the only logical way to run a VPN company if it's legal because it allows you to avoid being dragged into court over bullshit with testimonies. Any IT staff with a brain should understand this fringe benefit of doing no logs whenever possible.
>>107132369Why?
>>107132816>I bought $50 worth of xmr a year agoWhere are you buying XMR now?
>>1071322181. Why would you want to leave an even bigger digital footprint by giving some company your address and credit card data when you don't have to?2. Mullvad takes steps to obscure their VPN traffic from the ISPs
I like the prepaid cards, very cool
>>107132218I didn't read any other posts but I just wanted to tell you that you're a dumb faggot who doesn't understand how VPNs work. Thank you.
>>107132218Because when you pay with crypto, your payment processor can't see that you paid for a VPN, nor can they sell that data to any of their advertising partners. Also, Mullvad won't have your name or your address or your payment information. They would have to collude with your ISP to get that information.>but your ISP has your info!Yeah, it comes down to whether you trust your ISP more than Mullvad.Mullvad seems pretty based to me. They've given millions of dollars to the QubesOS project, which makes them all right in my book.

>>107133631Not necessarily when governments pretty much let them off the hook in exchange for giving up logs when asked, somewhere to how social media is literally never held responsible for anything so long as they comply with the government
apparently Mullvad specifically is one of the few services that are actively trying to even mask obviously-VPN traffic
>>107132218The illusion of privacy for $5 a month. It helps some people sleep for some reason.
every mullshit thread is bots talking to eachother
>>107134689Can't you just figure out which IP addresses Mullvad uses for this?
