As an American living abroad, I hate having to use this shit app / service just because the whole world outside the Anglosphere and Sinosphere made it a de facto standard on their Poordroid phones.

I’m holding out hope that thirdies will eventually move over to RCS, but WhatsApp is so deeply embedded in their societies that the odds of that happening seem pretty bleak.
