for that usecase?, honestly entirely dependent on what programs would you need for it.
for me probably windows 10, but i would check first if all the shit i would like to run run in some linux
old ubuntu was really good for a touchscreen, when unity, mot sure nowadays

People keep saying this, but have any of you actually tried to use Gnome on a tablet? Its marginally less ass than everything else but still pretty awful.

Its taken them a decade to get the on-screen keyboard to something beyond an accessibility crutch and to be something someone fully abled might want to use without going nuts.

Its layout still twitches and spasms on each keystroke as the word suggestions change.
