With all these layoffs, is the tech sector cooked.... oorr is the industry simply self correcting from the overhiring and making the barrier of entry too low that happened in the past decade or so?

Every sector goes through cycles, some businesses are hit harder than others. Always be networking and thinking about what if you got laid off, and realize its better to lay off than to get laid off. Always have money set aside and have options. If you surprised you got laid off, and they try to surprise you, you were not paying attention.
