Its been 12 years already. Does he still dream in code?
nightmares in code
>>107242858he's working at mcdonalds now. He dreams about making burgers.
>>107242858
>>107242858i unironically dream in code desu
>>107243059He's 26 nowNone of you have ever dreamed in code before? It's only happened to me once, I was being overworked on an algorithm at work and spending days on it trying to figure it out, right before I woke up I was thinking about it and solved it, ran to the computer to implement it, never had something like that happen again. And it's not really a good thing it's just a sign you're at a sweatshop with impossible deadlines in my case.
>>107243076if you fall asleep thinking about something it's very likely you'll dream about it
>>107242864I legit used to have nightmares in code after spending hours trying to solve shitthen again I think most people who ever programmed appreciable amounts did, so I don't know why they blew this nigga up for no reason.
>>107243089Because he was a kid and also a macfag so /g/ lost it. Crazy he's still getting posted here now. Let him be a grown ass man in peace lol.
>>107243073I don't dream in code but I'm working on an internal machine language. Kinda building on the mind palace, and the fact that you can "grok" a machine like a car engine or computer. I think it would actually be really useful to build a sort of internal operating system idk I think it could be done lol
>>107243113I mean why was he in the news in the first place? nepotism?
>>107243059>phd in cs>achievements: built a dozen websites
>>107243076i once was stuck on a problem and decided to go to bed because i was tired.in my dream i saw my vim editor, there was nothing but the editor and the code, no display, no window, nothing around it, no environment, the keyboard wasn't even a thing, and just thinking of the edit i wanted to do and it'd display on the editor.i actualy found the solution in the dream lmao.so yea, this has happened a few times but is realy not a frequent happening.
>>107243288He needed to throw normies a bone. Normies don't care about geek shit so they'd be more impressed by something they can actually imagine interfacing with like "a website" which can mean a lot of things. If you had to pitch yourself to a suit you could tell them that you wrote a kernel scheduler yourself and they'd be moderately impressed but if you told them that you wrote your own Doordash clone they'd be besides themselves.
One of the coolest things is playing music in your dreams like once you put enough time and work into something you can imagine it anytime but better when you sleep. They probably will invade our dreams and make us work because it will be more productive
>>107243059>works at apple doing machine learning>Apple Intelligence/Vision Pro is a failurehe should wake up from his dream
People say "dream in code" but when they describe it they only dream *of* code.
>>107244269Code in dream seems more logical
