Which ones should I get?

There's more and more dogshit all over the sidewalks in my area, so it's a minefield to walk in the dark without proper illumination. Got myself a nice 4xAA flashlight recently, it lights my path nicely.
Been using a bunch of old AAs first, got a couple of batches left, but after I clear them, I think it would be best to go with NiMH cells, ChatGPT helped me figure out I'd get close to twice the runtime.

Eneloops are stupidly expensive so I thought Laddas, most people think they are off-label Eneloops. But some people who take a closer look say they're not. That their internal resistance goes up way quicker, that sometimes you can get dud cells. Essentially, that Laddas are probably reject Eneloops that don't pass QC.

Should I still take a chance on them? Or should I go with a different brand that at least is their own brand, rather than reject stock of some other brand? GP Recyko, AmazonBasics, Energizer, Duracell, Varta, EBL?

Also if I should still go Ladda, should I go with the 1900 or the 2450? I think my flashlight gives out when it reads the cells at 1.15V.

I plan to buy two sets, one in the flashlight, one charged ready to be swapped in when the cells in use are exhausted.

I guess you don't have a cell phone then?

You will literally never have to buy batteries for the rest of your life. The charger is more likely to die than the batteries. Stop killing Gaia.

I had a couple first gen eneloops that refused to charge in the last year or two. But a bunch of others the same age are fine and they've still saved me hundreds of dollars. Not to mention the peace of mind that they won't leak.

Harbor Freight Tools sells cheap NiMH batteries. I'd check them out to see what they have.
