ITT: Abject tech product failures
You are a failure OP Lets talk about that in this thread
>>107244906And here you are. Like drawn to like. Me, the aloof observer just passing through. You two can commiserate.
>>107244896apple
>>107245172the fanboys are annoying, but you'd be hard-pressed to call it a failure
this was a massive failure, but in another 2-3 years, it might actually be a successful product considering how nearly EVERYTHING is a subscription service now.
>>107245663apple is basically living off the legacy of the first iphone and ipod. they dont innovate anymore and there's absolutely no reason to buy an apple product in the current age.
>>107245766>apple is basically living off the legacy of the first iphone and ipodThis is the most zoomer sentence I've ever read. It's clear that you've only been consciously aware for under 16 years.
>>107245816I don't know anyone over 30 who points out how "zoomer" a sentence is without actually addressing anything. What a childish post.
>>107245864Now you do.
>>107245864If you can't tell what the point is from context you're fucked.
>>107245889Don't you mean "you're cooked", bro
>>107245929
>>107245766yeah the ipod that hasnt received an update in over 6 years and has been discontinued for over 3 years nowfucking retard
>>107244896Apple iShit
>>107246114Those products are what solidified Apple's brand name, you moron. As I said previously, the iPhone™ & iPod™. If it were not for the iPhone™ & iPod™, Apple would not have an incessant elitist fandom. No wonder you made a low effort shitpost about zoomers without addressing any actual point. You're a fucking retard. You've been cooked, fr bro.
>>107246464schizo
>>107246464Try not to dunk on people for being low effort when posting a screenshot of AI output Because you couldn't be bothered to actually put the effort in to find a primary source to back up your point
>>107245663itoddler cope
>>107245745Faggot behind this shit had multiple similar project including Smart salt shaker and selling people "raw water" (literally water from some rusty pipe in the middle of some fucksville).
>>107245766iphones still rank highest or near the top on performance metrics of various kinds. There's a healthy amount of people who are willing to pay more to get the best tech. Add to that the fact people who are invested in the ecosystem, familiar with the UI, etc. are not going to move to another platform.
>>107244896what's that? looks really cool
>>107246464It was this. This launched the whole hipster mac fanboi thing.
>>107249001Filename dude
>>107249001>>107249134>The Rabbit R1 is an AI-po...AI-pos (PIECE OF SHIT)
>>107245172I own a xiaomi phone and an iPhone. Super happy with my xiaomi. Unreal user experience.Stuff that I can do on the xiaomi that I can't do on the iPhone:- Close all background apps with one single tap- Type a full stop without changing the keyboard page- Not bother turning fucking mobile data and VPN off every time (these always automatically get switched on on the iPhone for whatever reason)- Quickly jump to any letter in a word with one tap- Quickly bring up all background apps with one tap- Quickly exit an app with one tap- Take incredible photos and videos in 200mp (iPhone cameras can't compare)- Have a screen with a high refresh rateAnd all of this is for the fraction of the price of the fucking iPhone. I'm forgetting a lot of things, too, but user experience on the iPhone is abysmal. It just is.
>>107249188Idk why you cited me in your reply
>>107249247You WILL be cited in replies and you WILL be happy.
>>107249468Yeah like I said idk why you cited me
>>107249468You WILL be cited in replies, you WILL be confused, and you WILL be happy.
>replying to the wrong postKek
>>107244896why would this thing ever have made sense you would need to seriously be an idiot
I tried one of these and actually kind of liked it as a gadget. It feels good to hold and use. But I'd pay maybe $50 for one, not $200.
>>107244896What? This toy failed? But every single anon on this board told me how it was going to be a success and the best product ever wtf?
>>107249651Literally nobody said that
>>107249667I said that. Look it up in the archives.
>>107244896acktshually, it's battery-powered, not AI-powered
>>107249688Yeah like I said nobody said that
>>107244896It's always funny how all those scam tech projects always focus on looks and design. Same with this neo robot. Like they spend all of their resources on something that should be done at the very end. They never have a functional product nor a specific use case it is supposed to solve but they somehow already have the looks and the marketing. It's so obvious. They never answer why do people need that thing. In all their ads they pretend that everyone has it and everyone should have one and use exclusively buzzwords. They never state X is a problem and we offer Y, a solution. They just imply that everyone just needs Y.Then of course the product is never developed. The "inventor" however always speaks of it as it's already perfectly functional without even a clear background and understanding how it should work from technical standpoint."Yo here's our magical shitbox, everyone has it, the reason why is obvious so we aren't gonna explain so just give us money"Every. Single. Time.
>>107249794Because actual real problems that need solutions are complicated, time consuming and expensive. It's easier to create a product and fool investors into thinking it makes life 0.001% more convenient and everyone will be using it.
>>107249794>design is secondaryHow are you going to build it if you don't know what it's supposed to look like?
>>107249794That neo robot is just a giant toy designed for the ultra wealthy. The kind of wealthy where dropping $20k is like spending $20. It can only do 1 task autonomously, and that's open doors, and it doesn't even do that fast or efficiently. Everything else requires remote control from some guy in India. When the company dissolves after 2 years, you now have a $20k paper weight.
>>107250023What
>>107249667You need to go back newfag
>>107250270Sorry you're so upset.
>>107250196If you don't know what the format of it is going to beHow are you going to build it?How are you going to design a PCB if you don't know what size, shape and kind of case it's going to be in? How are you going to know what kind of case it's going to be in if you don't know what the physical appearance of the final product is supposed to be?
>>107250294I don't even know what to say to this comment. This is not how technology is designed.
>>107250292>SorryApology rejected, I hope you die retarded newdittor
>>107250334When it's a human interface device? Yes it is. You start with how it's going to be used, which informs the physical shape and layout of it, and then you fit the tech into it.
>>107250360Oh okay, so you're just going to move the goalosts now.I won't continue to reply because you're clearly not having a discussion in good faith. Have a good day.
>>107250391How do you think things are designed? The goalposts are where they always were, the design process of a thing like in the OP.
>>107250058Don't worry, if you're lucky someone might but the company's assets and charge you a $1k/month subscription fee if you don't want the robot to strangle your children in their sleep
Is anyone working on a VR-controlled humanoid drone?
>>107251126Yes.
>>107251126That's literally what Neo is.
