are software arquitect getting worse and worse with every generation?things that before were considered bloat now are subject of pride.every single company i've worked with is getting arquitectures more and more complex for the sake of being complex and show a complex spaghetti graph.>no you have to connect the AWS lambda to the ETL web service and then mirror it to DB bucket trail and then report it to all the endpoints
>>107250427idk what an software architect doesdo they just edit (dot)something files (.cfg .yaml) and run them over and over again, pretending they did something useful that day?
>>107250755worse, they draw multiple diagrams with multiple technologies and claim it'll be better for the business and end up creating a unsustainable pipeline

>>107250427What language uses the "qu" enough that you'd replace the "ch"? Is it romanization of Hindi or something?
Every time I see somebody complain about how complex software has gotten and how it doesn’t serve a real purpose, it’s some bootcamper that couldn’t pass basic algebra
>>107252525name even one(1) new piece of software that needed to exist or one(1) piece of software that could not conceivably be designed to run on a 386
>>107252138Twitter was over architected that included thousands of micro services running on huge server farms, requiring daily maintenance from thousands of people. And then Elon demanded simplicity.
>>107250427the entire tech industry purposely tried to dumb down the overall abilities of programmers so they are all idiots who are stuck using the same programming languages and frameworks, stacks and toolchains. This makes it easier to negotiate salaries and contracts. No one cares youre a leet programmer unless youre at an AI startup that requires new technology. The fact that everything is slow now is because everything is buried under many layers of libraries and the 'software architects' have no idea how these libraries work and they can only blindly use them and live inside a debugger so that eventually they kill enough bugs to ship their project.
>>107252525Look at how bloated web browsers and operating systems are compared to the previous decades.
SW""E""s think they're actual scientists (let alone engineers) because they know how to use consoomer technology. 99% of them can't even do basic math, let alone any form of actual engineering. introduce an SW"""""E""""" to a server rack and tell him it needs 120v power going into it by the end of the day and he will burst into treats trying to even figure what "120v power" means
>>107250427any art or science that has easy 'undo' options, breeds drooling retards incapable of creating something worthwhile.
>>107252499Portuguese?Ch sounds like sh in EnglishArchitect is written arquiteto.
The philosophy is to throw the whole kitchen sink just because you can. They don't have a hint of a idea for the why. The are soulless husks that build void abstracted configurations of meaningless knobs.
>>107250427At least your architects can design, even if they design shit. My company's architects haven't touched a line of code in 25 years, so all they can do is draw arrow diagrams of all the microservices they want. They leave the "nitty gritty" details of protocols and everything else to the actual devs. Also, anyone who demands length limits on functions or files should be fired. Better to have one 300 line function than 30 ten liners.
>>107250427Software Architect is code word for bad programmers that failed upwards.
