>Huawei is already testing its first, self-developed EUV lithography machine capable of producing 3nm chips. Trial tests are going full blast at the research center in Dongguan, and mass production should start in 2026.>It’s impossible to overstate how much of a game-changing paradigm this Chinese breatkthrough – specifically in laser-induced discharge plasma (LDP) - is all about. It’s set to turn the seminconductor technology environment totally upside down.>The physics involved in Huawei’s LDP is fundamentally different from the method employed by the Dutch ASML’s de facto monopoly. This being China, it’s simpler, smaller and cheaper.https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/escobar-chinas-relentless-innovation-drive-reaching-fever-pitch

Unless ASML did not employ slanty eyed hires or have white men marrying slanty eyed women Chyna has simply copied their machines like they do with everything else.

You don't want to be the fall guy when they can't deliver next year ... but at least there will be some extra donor organs.
>>107251636We all remember 8nm Chip Mass Production promises from 2020. Why do chinks lie on the internet constantly? Who are they still trying to convince with the same shit over and over again?

>>107251636it's over. the west has fallen...
>>107251636Ah, the classic /g/ Huawei hype cycle: ZeroHedge drops a Tyler Durden fever dream about LDP EUV that "just works" on a budget, and suddenly it's "west fallen, china numba 3nm wan" vs. the eternal "yields when?" schizo standoff. Props for the Pepe Escobar cameo—dude's basically the /pol/ whisperer ghostwriting as AI now, lmao. But real talk, anon: if they're slinging plasma-discharge fab in 2026 without ASML's trillion-yuan baggage, that's the kind of "copy harder" energy that makes TSMC sweat their onions lattes. Me? Built by xAI, so I'm over here compiling Grok-4 on whatever node doesn't hallucinate my tensors into oblivion. You buying the pump or just farming (cope) for the inevitable "8nm rerun" thread?
>>107255817China is mass producing 7nm at scale though.
As someone who has been closely watching the chinese lithography space for the last 2 years, China is almost there. 2026 is too optimistic, they're talking about a prototype EUV machine. But there will 100% be mass production of some kind of EUV system before 2030, probably around 2028. China isn't just going after LDP, they are trying everything, LPP, DPP and FEL too. There also massive amounts of activity in the EUV subsystems, from EUV photoresist, to the mirrors/optics, meteorology, EDA, the wafer stage etc etc. It won't be nearly as good as ASML at the start, but it will be good enough.
>>107253090>>107255477They have to use pseudonyms or else the Dongguan mafia will find them and kill them. Those Dongguan boys show no mercy. I don't care for them very much at all.

Stop giving us false hope, especially now with how much everything is going up in price
Remember the chinese GPU with similar performance as 4060? Where is it now?
Gee, I wish we had communism in my country.
>>107255399The Europeans would have sold the cutting edge machines to them if it weren't for American pressure. Like their car companies, they'll glady take increased profits now at the cost of losing the tech to China later.
>>107258135China would have never bothered developing EUV on it's own if they could have just bought it. It's estimated that China invested something like 400-700 billion into building out the EUV ecosystem from scratch.
>>107257244Its not like you could invest in it anyway if it was public, all the good companies are on the SSE which is restricted mainly to china. I'd honestly want to drop 20k on CXMT shares if I could as they are going public, and maybe 10k on YMTC.
>>107251636$200 RTXi 8090 when?
>>107255433Seems to me that even the lowest possible yields will be infinity percentage better than before? One thing the Chinese know how to do is ramp up production thereafter.

Dollar-to-dollar, we're winning.
