I like them because the technology itself is interesting in how it works. They can be superior to modern displays in very particular circumstances, games mostly, but overall modern displays are better. CRT has flawless motion clarity, which is incredible when it works, but it only works if frame rate is matched perfectly to refresh rate, if there's a mismatch it causes a horrendous jittering effect far worse than anything you'll ever see on modern displays. Modern displays handle non matched frame rates far better, plus flawless sharpness and geometry which you can never get on a CRT, space savings, power savings. I have one and I like playing ace combat 4 on it sometimes but there's a good reason we left them behind.
