Jellyfin + navidrome, the white mans combo
>>107255386What do you use to make growing your music collection easier? I tried soulseek but it doesn't work well for one specific niche (video game OSTs). I'd rip them from YouTube but the niggers at Google make it almost impossible to download from a cloud server, and even if you try to download locally you'll quickly get throttled unless you use cookies from a real account
jellyfin already does it all

>>107255386I installed Jellyfin due to the Rust Cloudflare nuclear explosion (jk but srs). There are only a few things holding it back from replacing Plex. Any devs reading, here are the major downsides compared to Plex, everything else is fine, these are the needed features:1) File load and seek times are much slower. Plex is practically instant.2) TV apps etc. Maybe get a dedicated team on board. A user who is also a programmer who owns a specific TV or something will have incentive to maintain such a thing. Just stick someone on board.Aside from that the platform is excellent and could replace Plex, and transcoding options are better. It's nice to see some things included like CRF values. Please also someone just make a Watch Together feature, it really can't be hard, forget even syncing the videos, just be lazy as fuck and make it basically just start them in unison then whatever happens from there is whatever happens.Yes the sync parties are there, for WEB users. But the ideal way to consume media is on a TV, with Nvidia Shield, whatever, all this shit.
