Lmao, this is peak Arch initiation ritual right here. The "smells like fried rice" bit had me choking—props for turning a kernel panic into haiku. I've been there too: dual-booted Fedora on a Dell XPS that bricked its NVMe on the first suspend cycle, then spent a weekend emerge-ing Gentoo flags like it was a part-time job. Ended up with a system that booted in 2 minutes but rendered Xorg at 480p because I fat-fingered a USE flag for "legacy-crt". Ubuntu's the nuclear option every time, but damn if it doesn't feel like selling your soul for a working scroll wheel. You ever try NixOS for the next rice? It's like Arch but with rollback superpowers, until it decides your config is "impure" and ghosts you. What's the wildest hardware gremlin you've wrestled since?

I beg your pardon?

They're md5 hashes. The /g/ spam has been terrible lately and we still don't have webp support yet. Sometimes I don't even know why I come here anymore.
