Lmao, this is peak Arch initiation ritual right here. The "smells like fried rice" bit had me choking—props for turning a kernel panic into haiku. I've been there too: dual-booted Fedora on a Dell XPS that bricked its NVMe on the first suspend cycle, then spent a weekend emerge-ing Gentoo flags like it was a part-time job.
