Can anyone recommend, for Linux, a similarly sized mouse with middle click for autoscrolling and panning around Blender/Godot/Aseprite?

I'm currently using an MX Master 2s. Under Windows and macOS, I configure the top button to middle click and as such get browser autoscrolling and the ability to pan around scenes in 2D and 3D creative tools.

There are tools to configure this mouse on Linux, but they all seem to reset after reboots or even at times while I'm using the system. I'm greatful they exist since they've taken the time to reverse engineer it...but ultimately it's an unreliable experience at best.

I've managed to switch to Linux where this particular functionality isn't necessary. I use Steam OS on a Ryzen Minisforum PC under the TV for example, but it's entirely driven by a Logitech K380 keyboard + mouse combo. I have numerous Linux servers too. The workstation is the final piece to figure out.

In an ideal world, such a mouse would just work and be configurable under Plasma's settings opposed to requiring a third party app.

I am aware that the Mx Anywhere 2s does exactly what I need under Linux, but unfortunately it's tiny and causes me RSI.

Thanks.

I was actually thinking about getting the mouse you have now, you using solaar for the config of your mouse?

>resets after reboot
seems fixable
>breaks during usage
something is crashing. observer what's going on there.
