Genuine question, what are the alternatives? If you host a public website in 2025 you will get bombarded with LLM scrapers sending 100 requests every 5 seconds. They don't respect robots.txt either, they literally recursively scrape every reachable page on your website from links in the HTML. Cloudflare also has other important offerings for large systems like CDN
It's like complaining about AWS, people (meaning actual enterprises hosting websites, not hobbyists) use that shit because they have a useful product
