my city has installed these flock ALPR cameras this year. recently, they've put one very close to my house. i have to drive past it every day to go to and from work.
it's about 8 feet up in the air along a reasonably busy road. even at night it's never more than a few seconds until a car passes by.
i thought about parking nearby, dressing in a highvis and taking a ladder to disassemble the camera. remove the panel and camera completely. my concern is that other businesses likely have surveillance cameras that i could be caught on if there is an investigation.
people do walk along this road somewhat regularly to go to nearby stores. i could approach the camera from behind, and i think I could be able to reach the camera with a can of spray paint and block out the lens from the ground. or i could stow some loppers in a backpack and maybe cut the power cable from the solar panel.
i also have a drone. i think that would be the lowest risk of being caught, but i don't really know what i'd do with the drone, short of dropping a balloon of paint on the panel. i'd be worried about own-goaling myself if i tried to rig up some remote spraypainting system.

what do you guys think would be a good way to disable these devices? i might just do nothing. i might just be a coward and endure it. but i really hate these, and if i was confident enough i could get away with it, i would.

You sir are a rebel scum
You can always scout out the area to see where are the other cameras and where they point.
When you do get caught, I hope this post wont be considered as me being an accomplise to your insurrection

unironically why care? anyone who is even neutral on car dependency is a nigger and speeders should be hung by their wallets
driving a car is like if your dishwasher cost you $500/month to run and it killed you if you stopped paying attention to it for a few seconds while it ran
car dependency is literal slavery compared to the free time, money, and effort mass transit gives back to you

anon, it can't be that hard
just test it several times beforehand, on other objects

whatever you do, the most incriminating piece of evidence will definitely be this OP, lol
chances are you'd be caught but idk how seriously they'd take an investigation

i don't like surveillance and i imagine resistance to this would discourage it. these cameras work off motion sensors. the people walking along the street are also being photographed.
my tax dollars are paying the 2500$ a year subscription fee for each camera. i don't want to be funding this.

i doubt it. i imagine if i'm not caught red handed, or on video, i don't think i'd get caught at all.

you need these types of systems to actually deter speeding in any meaningful capacity, which actually saves lives, and also makes nigger babboons insanely mad because they don't have the self control to not fly through every street and road

if you walk into basically any place of business you're being recorded. you're being recorded in some way if you have any device connected to the internet or cable or whatever in your home. whenever you interact with any sort of private serbice in any capacity you're being datamined. I'm guessing it's only bad when duh gubbermint starts doing it?

This is such defeatist cope. In reality dozens of people are murdered every day with both local and federal law enforcement completely stumped as to who did it. Adding more cameras absolutely makes a difference to the level of surveillance we are living under, the idea of "hurr durr you're being watched 24/7 resistance is futile" is a psy-op

this is cope, most of the time it's straight up gang violence that nobody wants to even look for obvious reasons, it's not becahse the lack of evidence

well it'd be easy to do even with the cheapest drone relying solely on mechanics without extra transmitters/receivers or rewiring already existing functions like lights from a distance of a third of the battery time so you' afford to go, work, and return but are these really that great of a target? they seem pretty useful and you'd probably want to catch dindus easier although most are probably more concerned they themselves will somehow be persecuted for their passion of loli tranime and calling people jews online to save the west

i imagine if these get established and acceptable, then the data starts being sold to insurance companies for monitoring driving patterns. it gets sold to stores for sales data. advertising on billboards, etc.
you can track a lot about a person if you know where they go and when they go there.

>>107268123
your chances by getting violently killed (i.e. not jumping or falling in front of a bus/train) on public transit are literally infinitesimal to the chances of some drunk nigger killing your entire family. I'm not even talking about the general chances of being killed in a car """accident""', I'm saying the specific chance of your entire family getting wiped out by a single malt liquor drinking shitskin is exponentially higher than being killed on public transit

I think a balloon of paint wouldn't work. But maybe a spray paint could work. You could rig an Arduino with solenoid actuator to trigger the spray and control with with a phototransistor triggered by the lantern from your drone. Ukranians used a similar method to drop bombs at the start of the war.

A blue ray laser to burn the camera sensor might also work. You wouldn't even need a drone but you have to make sure there are no camera watching you at the time.
Burning the solar panel might also work but they usually have bypass diodes to keep them working even when they have an hot spot or a shaded area. So you would need to damage multiple rows in both panels.
>>
>>107268190
By bluray what i meant to say was ultraviolet. But really most high powered laser should work.

because to legally charge someone with speeding you have to have specifically calibrated instruments actually catch them in the act, you can't like infer that from Metadata or the jewish space laser satellites or whatever
generally speaking, the smaller the crime, the harder it is to prove beyond a reasonable doubt.

in the UK the dvla (government agency) sells your driving registration info to private parking companies for $3 per request. The result, there is now a massive business where parking companies set up automated cameras and pretty much file mass lawsuits at random drivers. There is something like 10 million parking charges being fined annually at $200-$300 each. You used to be able to ignore them but now if you do they can get upwards of $5k out of you after legal fees. I believe something like 10-20% of drivers get at least one of these "parking fines" a year and upwards of 90% are found to be illegitimate charges. Small-time retail business in the UK us collapsing largely due to the drop in foot traffic these parking companies cause when they set up shop.

This is the USA's future if you let flock do what it wants.

I used to work in the parking industry in the UK and it worked like this: the parking company would provide services for the council. If you're in the US, a council is like a US state but with no real powers or oversight. they exist to charge what's known as 'council tax' which is then typically embezzled by never-even-elected councillors. The services rendered are usually parking management and the council gets a certain amount of the proceeds from fines issued. The parking companies don't actually make enough from this but here's the thing, once a company provides services for a council the judicial system in that council's jurisdiction looks upon them very leniently. They then buy their own parking spaces and file "parking charge invoices" to pretty much anyone who parks there. There's some nuance to it but basically the council allows them to commit mass fraud in exchange for services rendered.

Imagine getting a lawsuit because you parked at a Taco Bell but then went to the McDonalds across the street- this actually happens in the UK.

Here's a fucked up example from last week.
>city of Redmond WA, where Microsoft is headquartered
>they have Flock
>they use it to great effect to find stolen vehicles, stolen plates, misuse of plates
>there's a high correlation between fuckery with plates and shitbags about to do shitbag things
>suddenly, agitators were bitching "the feds are using Flock data"
>the PD said "nope, not true"
>Flock said "nope, access logs don't support that at all, no feds have accessed the city's data in a $long_time"
>city council voted to suspend Flock immediately, "out of caution"
>Redmond is full of virtue signalling assholes, "restorative justice" types
>city is full of what I call "white urban guilt"
I'm happy that my jurisdiction has said "fuck you, Flock stays".

Don't remind me of the flock camera hack/API access. These cameras also run Android 9.

You might as well just jam the wifi/lte signal around the camera.
"People behave differently when being recorded".
Maybe you should consider flying your drone around the Senator's house which has setup these cameras in place.
Do a live stream of his estate unironically.

thats not why they suspended use, anon.

some tattoo artist won a court case that would make the flock data public domain so that any random schizo could use it. that is why they stopped using them.

>drive in Redmond all the time so for me this is local news.
