Who remembers the 3DO, this one the Amiga CD32, the Philips CD-i and even the Apple Pippin then?
Before the PlayStation, or Xbox came out they sure did make some fascinating CD consoles in the 90s.

What was your first gaming console technology/computer that you used for gaming?

Gotta love English, always scanning the longest possible word.
MSX1, I played several games on it. There were two common versions of it in my country with different memory bank layouts and my bootlegs dealer sold the software hardcoded for the model I didn't own, so I always had to fix the machine code loader to be able to use them.

When you start burning a ton of the back catologue and you consider all of it was pre-PS1 (mostly), the 3DO fucks. Genuinely one of my favorite consoles

They weren't that rare in EU.

We didn't have that back then, aside for an occasional abomination on the Jenny Jones Show.

They were all insanely expensive and didn't have enough titles to be worthwhile. I lusted after them but am glad I was too poor to be able to afford any of them.

I actually owned a 3DO back then, it was kino. The best out of all failed "4.5 gen" consoles.
Philips CD-i, Amiga CD32 and Apple Pippin didn't even count IMO because they were pretty much DOA.
I also owned a NeoGeo CD, Sega 32X and Atari Jaguar.
NeoGeo CD was great but the slow af 150KB/s CD-ROM drive killed it.
I regret purchasing the 32X and the Jaguar.
Sega 32X had potential and it had a few pretty good games, but overall the games library just sucked.
The Jaguar was just plain garbage all around, and its games were awful. Rayman and the Wolfenstein 3D port were probably the only halfway decent games on that thing. The DOOM port wasn't as terrible as the 3DO port, but it was still pretty bad, I think the 32X port was better. It received lots of Amiga ports that were bad and unpolished. Almost all exclusive/first party games feel like early alpha builds that should have used at least 6 more months - 1 year of development and polishing.

hot
i had a Sega Game Gear
the games for it were mostly trash, but i got some play out of Out Run Europa and Prince of Persia
unfortunately, when i tried to boot it up in 2010 or so, the screen was basically broken, and it was relegated to a pile of junk electronics that was sold with the house it was in

why not enjoy her youth?
assuming she's still alive, she's probably 50, obese, and drugged to the gills on SSRIs
