ls -h

lsof -h

ls --help

lsof --help
>lsof: illegal option character: -

Like is there some reason why they keep it different for every single command?
Bonus question, when I do lsof -h naturally the first thing I want to see is what
the command actually means, am I just suppose to guess that it means list open files?
>>
>>107309129
-h is not generally help, only in older programs with UNIX ancestry. Post GNU it's mostly --help.
>>
>>107309139
Interdasting. I didn't know that. It explains why I've never had -h not work.
>>
>>107309129
>>won't do anything
programs dealing with files will often interpret -h as human-friendly size format: ls, df, du come to mind
>lsof: illegal option character: -
>am I just suppose to guess that it means list open files?
lsof is an old beard program invented before two-dash "long options"

So bros, I might buy a new laptop soon, I dont want to go back to windows, so are there any brands that are Linux friendly or unfriendly?
current laptop is a old HP laptop that served me well for more than a decade

Just grep the fucking man page you shitter.

Should I be concerned? KDE system monitor and btop report the same thing. Nothing indicates that the GPU is actually being utilized like this. I tested a game and it runs normally. GPU reporting bug?

Disregard I solved it immediately. You should gpu family specific monitoring tools to monitor the gpu, in my case radeontop instead of btop.

Whenever you have a thought like this, look at it from the opposite direction and see if it sounds dumb.

Can't go wrong with a Thinkpad. If you're autismo enough to enjoy linux you'll end up liking thinkpads too.

exactly. just like society people don't have to conform to some cohesive whole they can be trans gay furries whatever they want.
>>

>am I just suppose to guess that it means list open files?
Old UNIX machines had really shitty keyboards so they deliberately would make commands as short as possible.
>>
>>107309327
you logically can't be trans
it's a form of psychosis

I think he meant you can choose to reject your biological self and be crazy. You're still a nutjob and there's something wrong with you but it's a choice you can make. Doesn't mean you should do though.

that's sheltered little bitch thinking

>>
>>107309418
Choices don't have to be logical.
>>
>>107309477
Yes. It's a bad choice and society so should reject bad choices that have no rationale basis. Still people make stupid choices every day though.
>>
>>107309418
Some people can be -trans others can be --trans others can be -t and others still can be --t and some can even just be trans or t. If we have a program they don't need to all be -t or all be --trans they can choose them selves and then you can ask for their pronouns when you execute them

I'm using Lutris to manage my games.
I'm trying to add the game Echo (2021) to Lutris, but the cover art shows ECHO (2017) and I don't know how to configure the game so it uses the Echo art instead.
I know I can manually set the cover art and stuff, but I want to know how to do it all automatically. Both games have pages on Lutris's website so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
