How do I solve this shit? Sometimes it works if I wait for captcha to run out and try again and with same ip suddenly it's fine. And sometimes I post with the same ip 3 times and then suddenly I get this message again.
>>
>making a post asking how to bypass ban
Whatever you did it worked.
>>
>>107309351
Apparently, you can only now post if you have 4cuck cookies from before the cloudcuck crash. I'm not sure why this measure is still in effect, but this board is pretty much dead without all the newfag reddit tourists now. I can post only on my PC. Can't post on any of my phones, because I don't have any 4cuck cookies on them.
>>
>>107309360
>tourism is closed
the one and only good update gook moot has done
>>
>>107309356
Because it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.

>>107309360
Yeah this shit started last week.
>>
>>107309360
>I can post only on my PC. Can't post on any of my phones

HOLY SHIT LITERALLY THIS

>inb4 le phone posting is stupid

Fuck you i'm not sitting at home 24/7
>>
>>107309388
>Fuck you i'm not sitting at home 24/7
then you aren't welcome on this website, kid
>>
>>107309388
You can extract cookies from your PC and transfer them to your phone's browser anyway (I'm totally talking out of my ass here, but I've never done this, but it should be possible in theory).
>>
>>107309399
You don't get it, unironically I can't help myself but to post sometimes when i'm also on the road. Sometimes you start a thread and need to go to work, I sometimes need to post from my phone to prevent the thread from 404-ing before I get home. And on top of that, I sometimes also get this fucking message from home. And I need to make a few posts on another board first, before it works on the board I originally tried to post in. Or I need to try tricks such as waiting for captcha to run out and enter a new one then suddenly it's fine. So it doesn't make sense.

It just doesn't make sense to have this shit.
>>
>>107309409
ok then post it when you aren't busy, retard
>>
>>107309351
Stop being from india
>>
>>107309351
Happens with me too. CTRL F5 or closing the reply box works (sometimes)
>>
>>107309412
It can take up to 10 minutes of waiting for captcha shit before it finally works, retard.

You just don't understand it or you only post from 1 device which had cookies saved from before last week.

It really sucks for people who do not have these cookies or people who post from multiple devices.

You see other people confirm it too right? So don't be a "Works on my machine!" fucking faggot but use your brain.
>>
>>107309360
Testing my hypothesis from an incognito tab on a browser I never use.
>>
>>107309426
Not from India.

>>107309428
Okay I will try that but it sucks nonetheless. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. So after one week I still haven't found a solution that is solid.

>>107309433
I tried both private and non-private browsers, doesn't make a difference unfortunately.
>>
>>107309360
>Can't post on any of my phones,
Yeah, good. Ok.
>>
>>107309457
>Noooo you have to sit at home 24/7 and you can never check up on a thread or make a post while you are at work!!!!

Wow bro you are le uber hax0r! Do you have piss bottles too? xD
>>
>>107309433
So it worked. I could post on PC.

Now testing it on my Xiaomi in am incognito tab.
>>
I have the opposite problem. Range banned on my desktop. Phone works. I don't keep cookies ever on desktop. This place is going to be a ghost town if this doesn't get resolved. I thought it was just me.
>>
>>107309466
It can work one time, but then an hour later it doesn't work again.

>>107309467
Same here, sometimes I also get this message on desktop. Try making a post on a different board first, then go back to the board you originally wanted to post in. Then it suddenly works.
>>
>>107309466
seeing how he hasn't posted I guess it doesn't work.

Board activity is way down and many people report having this issue.
>>
>>107309516
This post was from my phone though >>107309466

I'm going to test it on another phone with another IP using mobile data.
>>
My IP range seems so be banned from posting image but it sometimes randomly works. I don't get what they are doing
>>
>>107309534
>but it sometimes randomly works.

That is exactly the issue here. It says I am range-banned, but then after 5 tries it suddenly works while I still use the same ip which was supposed to be range-banned.

So it doesn't work yet it annoys legit users.
>>
>>107309520
Testing on my second phone now with mobile data
>>
My working theory is that all firefox private browsing users are effectively banned as of version 145's changes.
Why? Because it fucks with fingerprinting.
>>
>>107309565
>>107309466
>>107309360
Okay, so I was wrong. I can now post from all of my devices on 4cuck. Using both wifi and mobile data. I couldn't post only once because of a VPN running in the background and I didn't realize it.
>>
>>107309571
I am using Brave
>>
also getting the same response. i registered an email address with a proton domain and verified. after verification, the error goes away and i can post without the error until the next cycle, usually 24 hours. or until i close the browser. then repeat the process and it works again.
>>
>>107309610
>Just give 4chan your email bro

yeah would be better if we can like use usernames too, or perhaps use an avatar or user icon, or we could up and downvote posts, or see how long someone's account is haha
>>
>>107309628
are you serious? it's easy to register a free email without kyc. absolutely retarded take.
>>
>>107309360
Maybe that’s what they want.
To ruin this shit even more
>>
>>107309635
>Just keep making emails every single day bro

Are you retarded? Also if you create enough emails they will start to ask you for phone number verification.
>>
>>107309571
Cloudflare hates anything that changes your fingerprint because it's a secret digital ID. your password, as in your browsers unique ID, no longer matches so you can no longer log in. If anything fucks with fingerprinting including but not limited to useragent cloudflare will deny you.
>>
>>107309467
Most of my phone IPs are banned, and so is the desktop. I'll post from time to time (via psychic powers), but much less frequently. Others will do so as well, and eventually this place will become a wasteland of jeets and bots talking to each other. There's only about 12 smart people on the board anyways.
>>
>>107309650
Is it a cloudflare block? I think it is just an error with 4chan. Hence the ip range is banned on 4chan.
>>
>>107309655
>Most of my phone IPs are banned, and so is the desktop.

Same here. It doesn't make any sense. I am using a static ip at home which I have been using for years.

Have to toggle airplane mode 10 times in private browser so I can post. Then suddenly it says i'm range-banned there too. I wait 5 minutes then suddenly I can post again.

What the fuck is even happening?
>>
>>107309643
it works with the same email address. no need to create a new address each time. there's no pii attached to it other than IP address and browser/OS fingerprint. which is already known without the extra steps anyway.
>>
>>107309637
how does banning phonetroons ruin the website?
>>
>>107309659
It's because this place is being spammed hard, and the admins don't know how to stop it. Their clumsly solution is to block large ranges of IPs at a time. All it takes is one person in your range whoring out their internet connection as a residential proxy (perhaps unknowingly), and you're blocked too.

This is the answer of this "ban", check the rest of the thread as well
https://desuarchive.org/g/thread/107280319/#107293099
It's not really a ban but a fake-bug one that will appear if you don't have enough "points" on your IP first.
>>
>>107309710
You are not understanding the issue here.

I understand the original intent of the range-ban function, that is not the issue here. The issue is that even legit anons, even people posting from their home PC, also get this message.

And sometimes you are range-banned, wait 5 minutes, while still using the same ip you are no longer range banned.

So the problem is this system does not work and is broken.
>>
>>107309360
I can't post from my PC even though I was before. My phone works just fine.
>>
>>107309744
If you're a legit user in the same range as an abuser, you'll receive the collective punishment ban through no fault of your own. There are likely other issues at play too.
>>
>>107309797
I use a static IP. It fucks me over at home on my static IP. I have been using this IP for 5 years at least. How can a static IP only I use be suddenly range banned since last week?
>>
We’re cooked
>>
>>107309795
same issue here
>>
>>107309812
Lol what are you even asking, how can an IP be within a range? Wow, give that a big think.

4chan almost certainly gets data from cloudfare but the threat level assessment for this is coming from 4chan itself.

Think about how IP addresses are distributed to your provider. If you've done any home networking, you're probably familiar with a 24 bit prefix, and then having 8 bits for addresess.

Like i'm from a relative small country, i just dont think anyone close to me would get 4chan range banned

I think it must be an issue with 4chan itself or perhaps cloudflare or how they interact with it
>>
>>107309351
there may be other anons from the same ip range who are abusing the posting rules, therefore the system will consider you as the same spam
this retard >>107309360 didn't know that cookies still work even after the cloudflare crash, it's just the cookie saving settings in the browser that make it fail, also IP address plays a role

Gargle my nuts, this shit isn't IP based. On my static ip, wired home internet that I've used a long time to post on this shithole I could post from one point fine but then turning incognito mode on made this shit pop up.

We had a thread about it yesterday:
https://desuarchive.org/g/thread/107280319

it's not a real range ban, the spam filter returns that if it thinks you are using a residential proxy. if you get that message, you can still post in Chrome, it's only the firefox check that's completely buggered.

it works by assigning a threat score based on http headers and other factors, and the code for that is so completely broken that it always returns a too high score. and if the score is not zero (above 0.09) then the site will actually roll a mt_rand() over whether to block your posts or not (if you post an image it will block you 50% the time, if not it's much lower), because go buy a password nigger.

not even shitting you, go check the leaked source, that's how it works.
>>
>>107309360
it has nothing to do with the cloudflare crash. i got that range ban crap non stop a full week before that.

4chan does check the cloudflare bot score and blocks you based on that, but when that happens it lasts for a week. this crap message is just the residential proxy detection, and it mostly triggers for Firefox, you can still post fine with Chrome despite it saying you are rangeblocked if you use Firefox.
>>
>>107309467
>This place is going to be a ghost town if this doesn't get resolved.

it doesn't block Chrome so it won't change shit. it only blocks Firefox, and that has like a 1% usage share now.
>>
Testing from kuroba ex again
>>
>>107309571
It RANDOMLY blocks Firefox even if you don't use private browsing.
>>
>>107311058
I don't like the idea of everyone moving over to the botnet. Chrome a shit. I've found a semi-consistent way around this: Deleting your cookies will mean you have to deal with the 2 minute wait time, and then you can make a single post before you have to play Russian Roulette before you get IP blocked again.

I'm hoping someone finds a way to sort this out because this is really fucking annoying.
>>
>>107309744
That's because it's not a range block, it just says that in the error message to confuse bot spammers.

What it does is create a score on your browser profile, the amount of posts you made, if you made a post in the past 15 minutes, and some other things. And if the score is too high, it drops your posts with a 50% chance.

I'm currently posting from Firefox, but if I try posting an image I get the range block message, then I open Chrome or Edge or whatever and I can still post there just fine.
