My main issue with the new Claude models is the lack of swipe variety. Every Opus 3 swipe felt like a spin of the wheel of fortune. You'd get slop in one reply and absolute kino in the next, or something schizo or unhinged but almost each swipe was dramatically different from the last. Every Opus/Sonnet 4.5 swipe falls within the same limited range of possible outcomes. I hate it.

NTA, but I'm not sure I agree with even that. G3's writing style (for instance) is majorly slopped and annoying to fix. It's less slopped than G2.5, sure, but this is the first preview snapshot, so unless they release G3 proper soon, there's a non-zero chance it follows the exact flight path G2.5 did.
You might think writing style is forgivable compared to raw functionality, and I'd be inclined to agree, if not for NSFW, which Gemini only ever seems to know how to write one way, and that, I'd argue, the aesthetics of the writing itself become very important. It does describe; it cares to write more about any one thing than Claude (though I think Opus 4.5 seems more willing to describe things than any Claude release since Sonnet 3.6), but G2.5 AND G3 are really bad at writing transitions or progressions in an NSFW scene. G3 can progress and transition, but it only knows, like, two ways to write them, and it's really boring to read every time. What use is overwhelming smarts when the style takes you out of it, you know?
I've heard some having issues with G3's spatial reasoning, but I couldn't relate. Granted, I don't do giantess stuff, but if I were to pick someone up and throw them several hundred yards away, G3 is pretty good at realizing that said character would probably need to shout at me to hear them. Stuff like that.

The "LoL" skill floor/ceiling makes more sense because it represents the possible range of skill required to learn or master something. If a game only required you to flip a coin and nothing else (could automate the game in this case), there would be no gap between floor and ceiling, and both would be at the bottom. A theoretical extremely-high-floor but matching ceiling means it is extremely hard to learn, but once you learn it, there isn't anything else to master, "either you get it or you don't" and anyone who got it before you years ago won't be any better than you once you crossed the threshold of "getting it".

You can't get higher than the ceiling and not everyone will be able to reach the ceiling even if they start from a high floor.
