Literally how is this company even still successful? All of their products are so bad that they're almost even worse than no technology at all at this point. I mean this could be said of every major tech company now, but with Apple is so apparent that it makes it hard for me to understand how they are even profitable at all. Did Steve Jobs really just create such a strong reputation for them that we're going to be forced to wait a hundred years to see them finally run out of status points before they finally just get the fuck out of the way? Why is nobody putting them out of their misery at this point? All it would even take to steal their entire customer base by now would be to make devices that work on a basic level with nothing else tacked on afterwards. Am I crazy or are they not just wide fucking open?
>>
>>107330928
Cause nothing has been made that's of a high enough quality to replace it
No innovation has happened at all in the world of laptops, phones, tablets, or anything else Apple makes for years now
So why bother buying Samsung and changing your workflow and whatever when it's the same thing for most people
>>
>>107330928
Because they make products that aren't ai adware diarrhea
>>
>>107330928
because I've had my macbook pro for 3.5y atp and the total tinkering time to make basic shit work hasn't exceeded 3h, which was what i normally spent on my former linux build every month.

there is no equivalent to macs

macs have:
>soldered SSD/RAM/WLAN
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>when pajeetOS runs out of RAM it swapfile rapes the SSD to death within 3 years
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>when the SSD dies it bricks your entire currybook because the EFI is stored on the soldered SSD to save $0.05
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>components hashed and tied to the motherboard to prevent repair and replacement
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>riveted keyboard that requires total destruction of the chassis to replace
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>serial numbered battery that prevents boot if you replace it yourself
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>screens so fucking shit they have over 90ms response times (essentially 10Hz)
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>flexgate cables that are so brittle they crack from opening your screen past 90 degrees more than 2 dozen times
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs

It's a luxury brand anon, like sports cars and golden watches. Do you think anyone spends 20k bucks on a Rolex because they need to know the time? No, its purpose is to showcase your status and wealth. Why do you think the "green bubble ick" is such a big deal for some people
>>
>>107331495
Doesn't matter for most users and businesses who are going to just write them off within 5 years anyway.
I would never buy one privately because I intend to use my computers for at least a decade, but if I had a company I'd definitely get a mac for work purposes.

>why yes, our software is available for PC
>no, it's not on the app store, are you dumb?
>>
>>107331773
not sure what your point is, but considering the prices and performances of laptops right now, the macs are the best bang for the buck, not even considering that for other devices you'd still have to install linux or something like that yourself in majority of cases. And yes, mac os is slightly inferior to linux but at least it always works ootb
>>
>>107331915
I meant no software support, retardo. use windows, like a normal person
>linux
RENT FREE
>>107331644
yes, exactly, just like the gay accent and the earrings. fags also buy apple products to proudly signal the homosexuality to the world
>>
>>107331952
You would have to be clinically retarded to do any sort of software development on a system without any sort of package management, retarded core features like the registry and no system-wide libraries.
So far Windows had one big thing going for it, and that was a far lower price on windows machines, but that's no longer the case with enterprise grade laptops. You are clearly not a professional of any kind.

Windows is getting worse, and will continue to do so until Windows 12 is announced at the very earliest.

Linux is getting worse too; two different Fedora updates killed my laptop in the past three months.

Mac is not getting worse. Hurrr, it's le gay and le expensive. So? It always has been. It's the only big technology company that isn't completely going to shit.

I don't respect anyone who buys apple products. The only people I've met who bought apple products were retarded nepo-babies who are secretly afraid of technology while blogging about how much they love tech on their instagram.
>>
>>107331644
You're not wrong but you have a misunderstanding of what sports cars are. They are actually the opposite of a luxury product. It's the automotive equivalent of a gaming pc running xfce or a librebooted thinkpad.

The difference between apple and expensive watches is that apple consumers are genuinely brainwashed thinking that apple products are doing something that is worth the price. If someone with an apple shitbook or whatever actually had it only as a status symbol I could respect it a bit more than someone who thinks it was necessary to spend 10k on electronic waste they can't even repair themselves.
>>
>>107333431
Normies are brainwashed into convincing themselves that status symbols have practical value so that they don't have to admit that they're wasting money to impress chicks.
The guy with the Rolex will tell you all about how it's handcrafted with the finest parts and self-winding and keeps track of daylight savings and all the other ad points to justify being fleeces
The guy with the Ferrari will give you likewise excuses for needing a car with top speed 300km/h when the speed limit is 140 at best, or say stuff like >>107333368

People are liars. They're lying to you, or they're lying to themselves. Pick accordingly depending on how cynical you are
>>
>>107333496
Please do not conflate people who enjoy fine machinery and driving dynamics with social peacockers, thanks.
Apple products are genuinely horrible, have you ever tried to run a VM on an iPad?
>>
>>107333496
>wasting money to impress chicks
This doesn't explain the women and trannies I've seen who are apple fans though. From what I gathered those are genuinely convinced that apple products are superior to anything else and hence worth the price.
>>
Apple is actually one of the most like how they were in the 2000's. They haven't done much to their existing business model. The OS is still simple, quick, lightweight, and increments in small versions. The hardware is still built for "it just works" people willing to pay an Apple tax for a black box product that is more reliable than usual.

It's Microsoft that is slowly self immolating
>>
>>107333575
Chicks want to impress chicks, anon. Women live for social validation. Do you think they paint their nails and spend hundreds on haircare for men? It's all pecking order bullshit
I don't know about trannies, I'm not willing to attempt to see the point of view

>>
I don't see why macs still exist. Their whole niche is that its used for creative purposes like drawing art but AI has made this worthless. You cant play games on it. All people use them for is browsing reddit and instagram.

They should cancel all macs and go with a docking station for an ipad if someone wants to use a big screen
>>
>>107333803

Because they work better and more smoothly than PCs
>>
>>107333824
the ipad could accomplish the same thing
>>
>>107333839

But an iPad is an iPad, I want monitor kb + m and the ability to run some heavier processes as needed lol
>>
>>107333851
You could connect the ipad to a dock and then use kb+m

These heavier process scenarios you dream up dont exist
>>
>>107333867

I'm a programmer and occasionally play games too but thanks
>>
>>107333887
AI can do the programming, and macs cant play games
>>
>>107333887
Why would you do programming on a mac?
>>
>>107330928
I'm actively trying to switch away from Apple, I did for everything besides my Macbook.
There is literally NOTHING that comes even close to it.
Apple is the only company on earth making >>>>>>>truly mobile<<<<<<<< computers.

I'd do some euro style meme law saying if you can't reach a % of Apple's compute power efficiency, you are getting taxed a fat % of your revenue for polluting the market.

FUCK shitbox manufacturers and FUCK jannie.
>>
>>107330928
Their competition is Microsoft and Google. We're the ones that suffer.
>>
>>107334812
The problem is apple has already brainwashed you to never accept anything else. It's not your fault, they're evil that way
>>
>>107330928
They sell their products at ridiculously fat margins, and they've curated a massive cult that lives in their ecosystem and who will always buy those products

>Literally how is this company even still successful? All of their products are so bad that they're almost even worse than no technology at all at this point.
They are making products for normies with a lot cash.
They are practically selling jewelry and an elitist lifestyle.
It's not about quality and performance. Being overpriced is a feature not a bug.
>>
>>107330928
MS - AIAIAIAIAIAIAIAI
Google - AI!!! AIAIAIAIAIA!!!!
Apple - OS 27 "we are going to focus on performance and bug fixes instead of new features"
it is that easy.

because it is somewhat more reliable than most linux distributions and the community is huge.

Probably. She will edge your cock for hours with her mouth. You’re going to fire such a huge shot that it’ll blow the room wall out.
>>
Just say you're a jeet that can't even afford a mac mini.

It's okay. We aleady know.
>>
>>107335143
No you're a disingenuous apple hating nog, I got the money to buy anything I want. I ditched my iPhone for an Android, I ran linux desktop for over a decade.
You can pick any laptop you want and you already know my answer. It will be objectively worse on every metric that actually defines a laptop, apart from having a chassis with a screen attached.
>>
>>107335741
>the community is huge
Apple is way smaller than the Linux or Windows "community", how is that huge?
>>
>>107336366
Look up virtually anything, outside of arch wiki it's difficult to find your exact problem because it might be connected to a specific distro or configuration. Any issue with any packages on macOS will probably be noted somewhere on a forum and it's going to be the one that solves your problem because everyone uses the same OS and homebrew.
>>
>>107330928
its the luxury hardware brand.
you could sell literal piles of shit, and normalfags will still bend over backwards to justify purchasing it if you label it as a luxury
>>
>>107336452
This is typically only true of either distros that put shit in weird places (like Nix, but these distros also tend to have their own communities of nerds) or that the fix for an issue is a newer version of a package and you’re not on Debian so you have to compile it yourself. This is normally only a thing on distros like Debian or Ubuntu that have individual releases. 80% of the info on Arch wiki is distro-agnostic aside from the specific command you use to install a given package, which is like 2 seconds to find via googling or using the package manager search.

The only place this would really be true is systemd vs other init systems, but it takes like 30 minutes to figure out how one maps to the other and set it up, and there’s almost always a guide somewhere on how to do it.

I guess the other case would be if you’re running an ancient version of Linux like 2.X or something, lot of changes since then.

I mean I don't want to make it look like a big deal either. I run Arch at home and use Mac at work and I find both to be pretty good. All I'm saying is that if I ran my own business and did software dev, mac would be a very obvious choice.

Apple products are for people who are bad with money. I recently dated someone like that, she was throwing money out of the window constantly. That she was praising apple should have been a red flag.
