I think the elites organized a massive psyop and defamation campaign against crypto, to dirty its reputation in the public psyche and make the general public reject the technology altogether. Crypto is the only thing that could take away the jews' monopoly on finance, making most of banking obsolete, which would cut their power and every other elite's by an incredible amount.

And it's not just finance either, crypto has the power to decentralize the web itself, making it a much more free and anonymous place at the architecture level, which if successfully implanted would undermine any attempts at monopoly. The elites just couldn't let that happen.

I would venture to say that the whole NFT fiasco was a giant psyop that we all fell for. That includes NFTbros, as they were thoroughly convinced of the imaginary value of their monkey jpegs, which is not at all the real value or purpose behind NFTs as a technology.

We’ve been fooled and mislead.

We all pointed and laughed at one of the few things that could actually change The People's lives for the better and shift the power balance, even by just a little.

MODS: fuck off. this is about the underlying technology behind crypto, not financial speculation nor anything about profit or "the next big coin" or whatever the fuck. this post belongs here, not on /biz/.

Nah, it's just normies being retarded. Nothing new. They hear "IP adress" and think "muh location , hackermen" and they hear "crypto" and "oogabooga all scams me no touchy"

These are the kinds of people that would have died in the wilderness because "this newfangled 'fire' thing burned my hand once. It's obviously a terrible curse sent by the gods to destroys us. Keep it away from me and my children. This cooking thing is fad anyway; I'll keep eating my meat as my father at his, raw. Fire is bad because it hurts, and no therefore no good can ever come put of it."

Checked and Monero-pilled.
This is what crypto is supposed to be.
>>
>I think the elites organized a massive psyop and defamation campaign against crypto, to dirty its reputation in the public psyche and make the general public reject the technology altogether.
I think you're grossly overestimating the general public. Goycattle need utility and convenience, while Monero is rather limited in both regards.

bbut glownigger-kun, how am I supposed to transfer money oversees without banks and airports complaining?? :(

normalniggers took decentralized technology meant to free them from kike banking and turned it to pump and dumps, shitcoins and jeet scams
they'll never care

How can one coin be so based?
>>
>>107446677
bro no one needed to do anything like that at all.
your average person here or your average norman just hates 'crypto' by default.
whether it's from envy at the people who got rich, or some other random rationalization...that's just how people are by default.
no psyop necessary.
>>
>>107446677
Monero is nearly perfect as a technology... the big problem is all the AML/KYC regulations that businesses have to follow if they want to do business legally. In order for people to have true economic freedom, there needs to be an entire economy based around crypto, allowing people to spend their crypto without cashing out to fiat first. As it currently stands, you can't really on/off ramp to/from crypto without going through a bank first.
>>
>>107446677
what would stop those elites from controlling most of the monero supply ?
they have already done it with btc
>>
>>107449878
agreed, except for that last part. retoswap is a thing. it can be a hassle, but there are ways to still remain completely anonymous and private in the process of acquiring monero.
But yea, we really do need an economy around it for it to actually mean anything. Except for criminal activity and the ephemeral jobsforblocks posting, there aren't really any ways to acquire it without trading for fiat or some non-private coin. which kinda defeats the purpose of it.

I disagree.

Without a psyop, the normie default would be to simply not know about it. Be simply uneducated, ignorant and oblivious on the subject, for lack of information, not for presence of misinformation. Just like how most normies don't know what Linux is, or what any of the alternatives to their corpo slop is, or even what FOSS is to begin with. They don't quite hate it, they just don't know anything about it and don't really care unless you give them a very compelling reason (freedom isn't one, apparently).

But that isn't the case. Everybody and their grandma knows of crypto and BitCoin. They're not just ignorant and oblivious; they're misinformed. I don't think we should attribute this to just casual normie retardation. There's more to it than that.

Those swap services can be used for small transfers but imagine having a business that needs to move millions of dollars around. You kind of have to play by the rules at that point

if crypto is not able to to overcome this then it was never meant to be. The current system will always generate 'antibodies' against new systems, its like a trial, if the new system dies before replacing the old one, that means it wasn't good enough.
You cannot complain against unfair competition in an war where everything is allowed, you are either strong enough to withstand the attacks or you die, that's it.
As for monero, it has already found it niche. Things are getting interesting.

The famous Voltaire quote about paper money is: "Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value – zero,

Id think theyd prepare the seeds of the next monetary system in the one prior (asymetric cryptography was invented/released about the same time as nixons gold shock. Babylon eating babylon and leading the revolution themselves is their playbook.

They assimilated and mocked it at the same time; ultimately crypto became an asset to lure the plebs into owning nothing.
>but monero
exceptions prove the rule, monero is constantly getting delisted from various exchanges.

Fiat has intrinsic value in that you can pay taxes with it which will keep you from getting thrown in jail.

And what the fuck exactly is the real value and purpose of NFTs?
>>
>>107450184
You might have point, but if you're correct then all they'd have needed to do is push the snowball down the hill and let the retarded public's greed and ignorance turn it into an avalanche of hate. Just look at how many "linux le baaaad" posts there are and the constant push for the idea that it's this evil hacker OS, yet it doesn't stick as much with public

NFT domains, you retarded fuck. You get to actually own the fucking domain instead of being an eternal rentoid

>Fiat has intrinsic value
There is nothing intrinsic about fiat that prevents the government from printing trillions of new dollars and hyperinflating the money supply and sending the value of fiat down to 0.
>>
>>107450487
cool, so I can just print more and have more value then (no gold backing, so if my notes look good enough, they are considered real)

Why does it still have value then? Why is among the most valuable, more expensive than 99.99% of all tokens?

No crypto managed to be a proper currency. Most people dont want to risk their money on loosing a password, getting malware or getting a character wrong in the recipient with no possibility of ever reversing it.

>>107450599
>>107450623
Fun fact, the government was printing excess money long before they left the gold standard. They left because the French demanded taking delivery of their gold and the US didn’t have enough. A gold standard doesn’t do anything to stop money printing.

This, crypto will never take off with normies except for kyc exchanges which pretty much defeats the whole point of crypto.
