I do wish the standards committee would accept that exceptions and RTTI were a mistake and let you officially turn them off without compiler flags like -fno-exceptions and -fno-rtti. I've used C quite a bit and have never touched C++. I like the basics you do in C. I learned to use C in my embedded systems class. Programming a chip to do things just feels like true programming. I would like to make something so I don't have to write or see the incessant curly brackets and semicolons. The more cluttered the workspace the harder it is to focus.
