How will Tim Apple recover from this?

Apple's UI design is not what it once was.
>>

This is a stupid example. The user clearly left the volume control frame, so it should close. Learn how to move a fucking mouse to the left without dipping down.

>The send button should not have multiple functions in the same spot

I mean, doesn't he have a point?
>>
>>107471811
The user shouldn't have to do that.
Google just added that popup volume slider to YouTube and it sucks.
>>
>>107472051
>>107471287
It just works, though.

>mouse moves out of designated area for single frame
>automatically closes with no timer or leniency
Stop justifying bad design
>>
>>107471811
it should only disappear after a timeout or if you click on another element.

This is how Apple took off, surely.

It's insane how people like you can justify user-hostile design but I guess that's why Linux desktop is in the state that it is.
>>
>>107471287
>Why not add the ability to customize things like this for the user?
So you want everything to now be Linux? When will you lean that you can't configure things like the position of the clock on your desktop. You just can't okay, we're not Linux.
>>
>>107471811
But what if you're a spaz?
63% of Apple users are spastic and can't move a mouse in a straight line.
>>
>>107471431
Why even have a slider?
It should be: click and hold, then move mouse to adjust volume.
>>
>>107473563
No, it should be click and the volume is set to the position on the slider you clicked.
What you're talking about is a knob, it works in certain usecases for fine-tuning but less convenient for a user who just wants to make the music louder or quieter.

>>107473618
A slider that's always visible takes up more screen space.
This is for when you only have space for an icon.

>This is for when you only have space for an icon.
Never happens.
In the apple example I posted there is plenty of space on-screen for a slider. Same for YouTube.
On mobile, space is limited but you have the volume buttons anyway.

The funny thing is that this sounds exactly like an Apple user. This site is so immersive.
