ChatGPT told me that juniors and interns solve problems way less complicated than leetcode. Is that true?

Nobody solves anything similar to leetcode problems. Sometimes it happens but these are extremely rare cases.
The work is often hard because:
you need to find hacks and workarounds for things that you can't influence
general complexity
things specific for your job that other programmers are not required to know
maybe your program runs in important places and it should never crash
somebody before you was lazy
sometimes you have to do the tasks quickly
Junior and intern are not like "almost a programmer", they already are real programmers that can do everything themselves. They just have bigger chance of doing something worse because of little experience, they are payed miserable money because it's a scam.

Give me a real example.

You have to read data from a device API that only allows one connection at a time and has no timeout, if anything happens and the connection is interrupted you'd have to physically reboot the device which is supposed to be on 24/7 (you had to learn all this by trial and error)

You make your own client that handles all errors gracefully, caches the data and acts as a proxy for the main application

Stuff like Leetcode is meant to be challenges to train your mind. The problems themselves are not necessarily ones you'd have to worry about and are often made needlessly complicated.

Thats impossible. That sounds too complicated.

leetcode is 90% non-coding puzzles and the actually coding it up part is not the hard thing to do. also sex with that creature

Sounds realistic to me. That sort of thing is an annoying faff, and happens too f'ing often. Hardware sucks, and hardware designers are just as big a bunch of hacks as everyone else.

maybe if you're a retard who has only ever touched modern consoomer hardware

i swear, even the "employed" of /g/ are all retards who have never touched anything more complex than karen's stinkpad, MAYBE some fotm startup's "server" made up of an HP prebuilt with some extra ports on it and a hookup to AWS (accessed solely through web gui ofc)

this
there's nothing a junior programmer can't do that a real programmer can't do
there's a lot of imposter syndrome for sure, and a lot of naivety about how the world works and how to interface with other people's products that needs to get built up

the job of a senior developer isn't really to solve complex problems, but to solve those same problems while receiving less guidance.
To mouthfeed you people: what are the job positions that have the least guidance? They're executive positions.
A senior developer sits somewhere between those two extremes. They have only just enough guidance to know that they need to sell something to somebody, and have to design something from scratch that'll actually sell
