So, I really had to struggle to get the switches in to this plate and now some of them are having slight return issues. I've used them in another board already before transplanting them to this one so I know they were just fine before I installed them here. The keycaps aren't rubbing against the case or anything and it's happening on a couple switches that don't even use stabilizers. Did I squeeze the bottom housings of these switches to the point that they're partially broken? I didn't even know that was a thing that could happen.

it "works" in the sense i can get ascii and scancodes out of it. i found https://github.com/jimjag/JJ65c02 which is probably the only intelligible source ive been able to find for using a pico to read PS/2. i still have a ton of changes i need to make because this specific board switches between an abcdef layout a qwerty layout, and i need to support modifier keys which ill eventually be adding to the case and feeding directly into the pico.
