3/∞I figured out some new aspects for refinement. I'd already set global xterm fonts in .Xresources, but now adjusted the openbox rc.xml key bindings for starting xterm boxes with tty-clock and cbonsai to have their own xterm font sizes so I can match the geometries. This allows them to be evened up with each other vertically and frees up more of the workspace area.
