Does anyone else keep finding obviously AI generated images from time where there was no public AI image generation available?
It is completely bizarre.

We have been able to manipulate existing images for a long time before being able to generate images.

The key word in stable diffusion is stable, not diffusion. Diffusion-based AI has existed for well over 10 years but it could only generate like 1 type of image per model (flower, bee, human portrait etc) and the body horror was much worse.

This is just airbrushed to shit. People have been editing the crap out of photos for ages

thispersondoesnotexist has been around for at least 6 years and has produced convincing images the whole time, with the exception of the occasional weird jewelry/buttons or fleshy nightmare creature in the background.

Some of them might be early examples of AI generation before it took off, but most will just be bad photoshops.

>photo editing didn't exist until AI
