>>107489586How do the Wayland trannies cope with the insane latency difference between Wayland and X11?
>>107489586XLibre.Also notice how Wayland is portrayed as side covering their faces in shame.
>>107489586I'm on the side of the user, it is in my best interest for both to work as good as possible.
>>107489597Is there a big difference?
>>107489597>insane latency differenceLet me guess, it's less than 1ms but you can totally feel it?
>>107489586Mine.
Its accurate since crips are older than bloods, and are generally more foundational and structured
>>107489586Since KDE announced dropping support for X, I'll be trying out Xlibre and sonicDE on my new PC. Wish me luck
>>107489641Good luck. GNU+Artix Linux would be a good distro to give it a experimental try.
>>107489630redpill me on crips and bloods since I dont listen to hiphop.
>>107489653Crips and Bloods originated from poverty-driven factors in 1970s Los Angeles, including high unemployment and social decay in South Central, later spreading to many Black-dominated urban areas across the US through migration and the crack epidemic. While initially formed for neighborhood protection, they primarily consolidated money and power by controlling territories for drug dealing, extortion, and other illicit activities in an organized structure that pays more than working a regular job.
>>107489603>>107489618I remember seeing a 6-6.5 ms latency difference on the same setup at 144 Hz between mouse clicks. Not the most precise way to test it, but it does show that there's a noticable difference. My build is fully optimized - very fast QD-OLED monitor, hall effect magnetic switches keyboard 8K Hz, 8K Hz wired mouse and etc. I don't want a bunch of trannies to impose such a massive latency (comparatively speaking) to my system. When your mouse is below 0.5 ms of latency, the keyboard is around 0.25 ms, the monitor is at 0.03 ms 360 Hz then 6 ms starts to seem massive.
>>107489675you dont know anything either. do not paste shit from llm. either contrive something if you didnt actually know much at the time of your earlier post, or just say "well actually it was just something i heard and i dont really know much". this kind of response is literally worse than just making something up
Always go wayland
>>107489586I like X11's architecture more because everything just werks without needing to be re-implemented in every compositor, but wayland just plays nicer with modern hardware. If you have a high dpi display, gotta go with wayland.
>>107489677that's a lot of big words for something with no source
>>107489653Just blacks killing each other like they do everywhere else regardless of circumstances
>>107489597just read a few pages of this at random and you'll understand https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/software/desktop-linux/1594957-kde-plasma-6-8-will-go-wayland-exclusive-in-dropping-x11-session-support
>>107489601>XLibreIs it worth it it will it be like all the alternative init systems that ain't systemd
>>107489641If support for X is dropped, doesn't mean that support for XLibre will dropped as well since it's a dropin replacement?
>>107492945SonicDE is a fork of certain parts of Plasma to maintain X supportI've been using old X with Plasma until now, but since I have to fuck with third party forks anyway might as well try Xlibre too
>>107489653This knowledge disc contains all you need to know.
>>107489586Wayland for kiosk type application and xorg for desktop
>>107492982Shit, we'll be pushed to use waylol on plasma. Why can't have nice things that just work
>>107489641>>107492982What the hell is Sonic DE? First time I'm hearing about it. And how do you use it?
>>107489586
>>107493708https://github.com/Sonic-DE
>>107489586X11Libre 4 life.
I thought nu-4chins was blood coded, apparently not
wayland drove me back to windows
I'm on the side of whatever works. Still not a single fully functioning Linux desktop in sight? Then I'm sticking with Windows 10.
>>107495538>one less faggot on linuxi didnt know i could like wayland even more than i did.
xnigger is maybe the worst DE ever made second only to lxqtrannyshitthey should unironically kill themselves
X11 nigga on my mommaDead homies sheeeesh
>>107489675>1970s Los Angelesmore the 60s. youth groups started forming because niggers weren't allowed in, i kid you not, the boy scouts, in the late 50s. so they started forming their own groups. but these groups had no direction and when dad's started leaving with the post-korea de-industrialization, the kids just started fighting each other and doing crime. so by the end of the 60s they were just criminal groups that coalesced into the current street gangs. the latin kings are even older. they started in chicago in the 50s. kind of explains the current shitfight with ice in that city when you think about it.
>>107489586I just can't stand the flickering on Wayland. I open Steam and it's like I'm getting flashbanged constantly.
>>107489597>it was real in my mind
>>107489586X, of course
>>107489586Your mom op
>>107489601>XLibre.BASED
>>107489653both are buckbroken by mexican chuds
>>107489586i use windows so i don't care
>>107489601>>107489619>>107493757Is there any point using xlibre if x11 just werks for my use case?
>>107506024xlibre is the implementation, x11 is the protocolthe xorg packages you get from the repo haven't been updated in 2 years
Wayland has a 66ms lag on it's cursor input. It's very noticable and objectively measurable. Wayland is only appropriate for display kiosks like advertising billboards that don't require input or audio output. https://gitgud.io/CrunkLord420/crunkbench
>>107489597you're shitting and pissing your pants because you can't disable vsync? what do you say to people who enable tearfree then?
>>107506119Every other display manager on the planet can do tear free while not introducing massive amounts of cursor latency. WDDM, Quartz, Xorg, Windows 3.1, the Apple 2. Amiga Workbench, etc.
>>107506074Xorg then. But why update something if it's not broken?
>>107489586WTF was wrong with X11 that we needed fagland?Fuck that.
>>107489597Everyone is moving to Wayland, including XFCECope
>>107506170Xorg is broken, modern features like HDR is missing cause it's an ancient piece of shit straight out the 90s with no security boundaries whatsoever.
>>107491694>UI latency doesn't matterExterminate yourself.
>>107506119>disable vsyncAre you fucking retarded?
>>107489618>>107499095Yes, blindshits. It's noticeable.
>>107489586lol (Xlibre)I've been using it on Devuan for months. No latency. No tearing. No strange edgecase bugs. It just works.
>>107506232Pretend I have never heard of any displays more advanced than CRTs. Please explain what the fuck HDR is and why the fuck I should care if it is or is not supported
Why is Wayland way more snappy than xorg then? When I use xorg all windows move slow as fuck with low fps. Meanwhile Wayland is smooth as butter. I'm actually asking because the latency is definitely noticeable on Wayland and I want to avoid it
>>107506232modern features like HDR is missing because Waytroons refused to allow any new features.
>>107506801Sounds like you forgot to disable the compositor
>>107489597Same. They'll just deny and deny it exists though. Just like biology, they'll have to accept it and make a correction. Fix it if you want me to talk you seriously.
this thread has been up so long i forgot i already posted that
>>107506074>the xorg packages you get from the repo haven't been updated in 2 yearsGood, updates are cancer.Make it once and be done with it.
>>107506890Surely xlibre devs added all those rejected HDR pull requests by now.Oh wait they didn't, they're too retarded to implement HDR just like you.
I used to be full anti wayland like two months agonow both work just fine for meidk get a job lol
>>107506283retardif you're going to make big claims then back them up
>>107506944Sounds like it should be configured correctly on install.
>>107507933>"This mouse feels slow and laggy">big claimsYou're the retard mate.
xlibre
>>107507336HDR a shit.
>>107506406>nearly three hours asking a simple question>absolute silenceI’m going to ask it again. Make your case wayniggers, tell me why I should care about this meme “feature”
