You can generate cities for years now.Not many people know thisAngry shills will claim no one cares. But that's not why we mod, is it?
You can also enjoy obj exports from : minetest, sketchfab, unreal/unreal tournament in quake these days. There are scripts to even help you convert the .t3d entity/light files to quake's .rtlights and .ent(PERL) :)Also obj exported halo maps etcmapname.obj_from_mcsupports additional declaritves in file name:scalescalexyscalezbasescaleaswell as loadstyles (to set direction)That way you don't have to go into an editorbzflag obj exports also supportedAngry shills will claim no one cares. But that's not why we mod, is it?
Ofcourse quake3 bsp can always be used instead.
Many things can be done in quake now

>>107490947Oh dear, it would appear that there has been a misunderstanding. I merely intended to give you my salutation in a form most appropriate for a fine gentleman such as yourself. While it is true that certain more primitive societies have adopted the use of the word "sir" - likely passed down to them historically from a more civilised people - that does not make the use of such a word into a means of denigrating another as being a part of that backwards culture.I do hope that we have cleared any possible apprehension between ourselves, sir.
I remember this guy. Good stuff keep it up.
You should only feature the recommended binary and move all "old" binaries to a separate folder. If possible, write a "Build Instructions" document as well. I read your comment about needing GCC 3 or something and well that can be a barrier of entry. If you really need GCC 3, maybe host a minimal virtual machine file (a VDI image to open up with VirtualBox) to make compiling easier. But what I'd most recommend is making a YouTube video on how to compile and run the game. I haven't played in over a year but last time I tried running it I couldn't get past map 8 or 9 because it'd crash. The city generation levels would also crash.
>>107491445I don't know why people such as yourself decide it's a good idea to bully the devs of Xo-no-tic Cha-os Es-que An-th-o-l-ogy (evil ass mods marked the game as spam, fuck 'em). There aren't many games like this and if it was less buggy (the map crashes and stuttering when too much blood gets on screen), I'd be recommending it to EVERYBODY because the guns are fun and there's A LOT OF THEM, the maps that work are awesome, and these screenshots of the city generation are what I wanted videgames to feature when I was much younger and I still want that stuff. These cities are a lot more interesting than Minecraft villages and also a lot prettier. The devs have put in a lot of work into this game and are a lot more ambitious and creative than the original Xo-no-tic devs who have limited their game to yet another Quake 3 clone, one of the cooler ones but still quite boring in comparison.
