Right after 4chan came back in April after the two week break like 80% of the threads made were just generic bullshit that gets posted every day.I think the admins decided a long long time ago that they need to artificially spam the catalog to facilitate engagement.4chan is probably at least 50% bots.A lot of the time the bots just make inane automated replies like "take your meds" or "cuck license". If it was users doing it, they would have been permabanned for spam already.
