Now that the dust has settled, is this the king of privacy chat programs?

It is a honeypot. The same way Signal is a honeypot and those ANOM phones were honeypots.
>>
>>107497810
got any non-honeypot recommendations?

your hardware is compromised. even if your hardware is not compromised, your software is compromised. do you seriously think that the NSA does not have access to every single one of your internet-connected devices? don't be retarded.
if you are not encrypting your messages on an airgapped machine and transferring those ciphertexts to a networked machine via a manually auditable vector, your shit is fucked.

>>107497835
wise and incredibly based

You can use ANY messaging app just as long as you encrypt your messages using PGP

Do you seriously think the NSA is the only entity who's constantly sniffing out and collecting your data on a software level?
If you can reduce your threat model down to "I'm safe unless the literal FUCKING NSA goes out of their way to pwn me using hardware backdoors" then you have better opsec and are leaking less info than 99.9999% of people.
The NSA is not going to arrest you for shit. I'm seriously starting to think that people who say this crap are just demoralization shills and glowniggers trying to scare people out of adopting better privacy and data hygiene practices.

>Do you seriously think the NSA is the only entity who's constantly sniffing out and collecting your data on a software level?
no, I'm just saying that the NSA will absolutely pwn the fuck out of any technology you try and use, unless you are willing to experience the countless annoyances of defending your shit from them.
when people ask
>is Session good
or whatever, they often seem to be trying to circumvent state-level actors, which you simply are not going to do by downloading any software.
>The NSA is not going to arrest you for shit.
correct
>I'm seriously starting to think that people who say this crap are just demoralization shills and glowniggers trying to scare people out of adopting better privacy and data hygiene practices.
if you want better data hygiene practicies, literally just download Age or PGP and communicate your messages over whatever the fuck you want. use Steghide to put those messages into images if Facebook or whatever detects and flags your encrypted comms.
at the core of any encrypted comms system is you having a private key that nobody else knows of.
but using Tor and shit seems so fucking excessive for most people's use cases. and if you actually require anonymity, you are stepping into state-level attacker territory, where time analysis attacks seems trivial.
true anonymity is exceedingly fucking difficult.

Okay so show me the swaths of people arrested conducting illegal business over Tor and Session. Oh, there aren't any? Only when people go out of their way to fuck up and reveal details about themselves? Alright then. I guess we've established a pattern that these tools do their fucking job and you're just spewing shit and speculating.
>>

Always were.
They learned from their anti-encryption campaign.

There might be some zero-day or super secret backdoor the NSA can use to target the most important people on earth but they sure as shit aren't going to burn that on your nobody low level drug dealing and or pedophile ass

>Okay so show me the swaths of people arrested conducting illegal business over Tor and Session
this shit is not going to be advertised in order to defend such attach vectors from being recognized
FISA courts are not public
>these tools do their fucking job and you're just spewing shit and speculating.
A sends a request to B. no matter the number of intermediate nodes, A lights up with activity on some ISP, then B will light up with activity, then A will light up again when the response is sent. these times may be correlated to exceptional precision with more time of communication.
ISPs absolutely work with their host governments. they are also compromised. you think Stuxnet was the last form of compromise by the US government?
look at your Session connection pathway, a lot of the time, all intermediate nodes are from Germany, which absolutely will work together with Western governments.
no, the feds do not give a shit about most things that people are doing over Tor, hence it works pretty good for most use cases. but to peddle Session or whatever as genuinely reliable tools for all situations is retarded.

>These tools are useless against state-level actors!!
>But also... the state will never arrest you for what you're doing on here so whatever lol
>They won't go after you and you're literally totally safe unless you're goddamn Osama bin Laden or some shit and they create a whole ass division just to backtrace you
>But... they're useless!! You shouldn't use them!
Thanks for the sage advice. You glow hard.

I'm unironically not a glowie, but I have been autistically obsessed with crypto and anonymous networks for a decade, so I think I know what I am talking about
