I became a father at 28 but I was making bank (data engineer), so my wife was able to leave work and take care of our baby full time, it's been 2 years since then and when my daughter starts going to school the wife will go back to working half-time. Since I work from home I've been able to help and play with my kid through the day.

These 2 years have honestly been the happiest in my life. I get up early and actually work from 8:00 to 13:00, then I fuck around learning Lisp and making tools in emacs for the rest of the afternoon, those same tools allow me to get shit done even faster the next day, and so on.
