How do you respond without sounding mad?

By turning pre caching off

change your settings to make it use more cpu threads.

Everyone, pls turn that shit off, unless your have a steam deck/machine, rog ally or other handhelds. Those are pre compiled shaders for your specific hardware, it helps on low end devices, but if you have a decent PC, you don't really need it.

Pre shader cache is a dream, but only if everyone is running the same hardware. Thats why Consoles are so "great" and the Steam Deck/Machine.

Holy shit you retard just fucking skip. It makes literally no difference when you're not on potato hardware

The fucking retards at Valve tied the converted media files needed for some games to the shader cache. I have to either let Steam download & process shaders over and over again for no real gain or I won't be able to play some weebshit games that crash on cutscenes. People have been complaining about it on the Proton issue tracker for years.

It avoids potential stutter while playing the game. On Windows that stutter risk is always there with no option to process shaders upfront.
Probably less relevant for a D3D9 game like this so you can skip it like others have said.

Just use ProtonGE that has MS media foundation or what included and it works in drm games too (Blue Archive)
>>
>>107501330
using specific proton versions should work. if you use experimental you will be asked to redownload the shaders over and over with every proton experimental update

what cpu do you use?
